Joan Carol Griffith
Her Legacy… Joan Carol Griffith, 78, passed away May 11, 2018. She was born on May 1, 1940, in Highland Park, Michigan to Gilbert Knight and Marion (Shall) Knight. She will be remembered as being determined, brave, and very strong in life. Joan always put others and their needs before her own and had a lot of empathy for everyone. She was very loved by all who knew her and could always make everyone laugh with her stories. Playing cards and traveling with friends were a couple things she enjoyed doing, but most of all, spending time with her family and friends was the most important. Her Family… Joan will be missed by her children: James (Patricia) Griffith, and Marc (Kathy) Griffith; siblings: Douglas (Bonnie) Knight, and Gary (Jan) Knight; grandchildren: David, Michelle, Stephanie, Melissa, Samantha, Kayla, Adam, and Haley. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Marion Knight, and her son Thomas Griffith.
Her Farewell… Joan’s family and friends gathered on Sunday, May 20, 2018 from 3:00pm-9:00pm at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Howell Chapel. Her Community Farewell was held on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 11:00am (10:00am gathering) at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Howell Chapel.
