Howell Garden Club to present evening of floral creativity on May 23
Join the members of the Howell Garden Club for an evening of floral creativity this Wednesday, May 23, when Lisa Waud brings her presentation of the “Flower House”. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. with a social hour, followed at 7 p.m. with the program. It will be held at the Livingston County Public Safety Complex, EMS, located at 1911 Tooley Rd., Howell—off of M-59.
Lisa Waud is the founder and owner of Pot & Box, a floral design and horticultural décor studio in the Detroit area. Lisa has filled an abandoned Hamtramck house with American-grown fresh flowers (along with 37 designers and 100 volunteers), creating beauty from blight. Lisa has received international recognition for her creation.
Her presentation describes the dream-come-true project from idea to exhibition. Discussion will be held on why this creation has proven to be so magnetic to so many people across the country. Her talk includes the planning and execution through the themes of risk taking, logistics and collaboration, and her power point of gorgeous images takes you along with Lisa on her journey.
The public is invited to this event. It’s free, although donations are appreciated.
