Donald Gordon McVay
Donald Gordon McVay, born February 7, 1941 in Stockbridge Michigan to Gurneth and Harold McVay, passed away on December 7, 2017. He graduated from Stockbridge High School and went on to work at a factory but then spent the majority of his life farming with John Linn in Williamston. Don is preceded in death by his wife Linda Lee McVay nee Snyder, as well as his brother Dennis. His brother Doug lives in Stockbridge. Don leaves two sons from his first marriage to Fay Etta Cottongim nee Shepherd named Eric and James. He also was a devoted father to Linda's children Sandy Penrod nee Jenkins, Scott, Kevin and Ken Aubuchon. He also leaves behind 2 grandchildren and 7 step grandchildren as well as 3 step great grandchildren.
Don was a fun loving, hard working, all around good guy who was friends with everyone. He spent his final days talking about the next truck he was planning to buy and the chores that still needed to be done. He is now driving the vehicle of his choice as he speeds across the open fields in heaven.
Visitation will be held on Monday, Dec. 11, from 4-8 p.m. A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Herrmann Funeral Home. Please leave the family a condolence at pjherrmannfuneralhome.com
