Crossroads United Methodist Church offering Tai Chi & Qigong Class
Reduce stress, improve balance, gain strength and flexibility, enhance respiration and cardiac status through a new Tai Chi/Qigong class starting Thursday, January 4, at Crossroads United Methodist Church.
All ages and genders are welcome at the Tai Chi and Qigong for Beginners Class, which will run from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. Thursdays for eight weeks at the church, corner of Haslett and Zimmer roads east of Haslett and north of Williamston.
Attire is comfortable clothing and shoes, with no special requirements. People will be welcome to sit for any period of time as the class is adaptable and modifiable. Those who register are strongly urged to attend at least the first two sessions to obtain a good overview of the instruction and goals.
Instructor will be Jann Nestell, a physical therapist for 40 years and an applied medical Qigong healing practitioner also certified in Tai Chi for arthritis and diabetes. Ms. Nestell taught at the Parkwood YMCA in Haslett and currently teaches privately and with the Playmakers Women’s 5k training group.
