 Peggy JoAnn Hall

Peggy JoAnn Hall, aged 71, passed away on August 18th, 2024, following a brief illness. Born on July 5th, 1953, Peggy was the cherished daughter of the late Robert D. and Gloria E. (Dieterle) Hall and the beloved granddaughter of Julia E. Dieterle.

Peggy graduated from Fowlerville High School, after which she began working for (and retired from) the State of Michigan. Starting in the mental health field, then moving on to the MDHHS distribution department. Her commitment to her work was just a small example of her strength and dedication.

Beyond her commitment to her work, Peggy was a devoted family member and friend. Her sense of humor and generosity were as big as her heart, both of which made lasting impressions on those around her. With her outgoing personality, kind, caring and supportive nature, she easily developed strong, lasting relationships with people young and old. She is now, and always will be, missed and remembered by so many. Above all else, Peggy’s devotion and commitment to her family was unmatched.

She is survived by her siblings, Craig (Marie) Hall, Pat (Carol) Hall, Chris (Rob) Hall, Pam (Jim Millsaps) Schoettle and Cathy Hall. She was the Proud Aunt to Nieces Christina (Dan) Lafrancis, Ally (Rodney) Chase, Zoey Foss and Nephews James (Megan) Hall and Dillon Foss, as well as Great-Aunt to Chloe, Tatum, Hailee, Izzie, Kendra, Hunter, Brooklyn, Charlotte and Zachary.

She is preceded in death by her Brother-in-law Jack Schoettle.

Peggy loved spending time with her family, She especially looked forward to their weekly dinner dates. As well as her weekly lunch dates with old friends. Pizza and game nights with “The Girls”. Rooting for her favorite sports teams, especially the MSU basketball teams and the Detroit Lions. She also loved watching the birds and squirrels that she kept well-fed outside her big window.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation to the Howell Nature Center in Peggy’s name.

There will be a Celebration of Life luncheon at the Conway Township Hall on Sunday, September 8th, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, for all who wish to attend. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
