Lorraine Anastasia McGill
Lorraine McGill, age 80, of Fowlerville, MI, peacefully left this earth to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on July 15, 2024. She was born in Detroit on December 22, 1943, to the late Jacob and Tekla Warezak.
She is survived by her husband, Robert McGill, children Lawrence Kuriwchak, David(Marilyn) McGill, Christine Schell, Dan(Lori) Kuriwchak, Karen (Fred) Bailey, and Donna McGill, grandchildren Amanda, Jessica, Benjamin, Jonathan, Katlyn, Christina, Lane, Thomas, and Nicole. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, her sister-in-law Wanda Warezak, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Patricia Widmann, brother Ronald Warezak, and late husband, Eugene Kuriwchak.
Before she was affected by Alzheimer's disease, she enjoyed 30 years of active adventures with her husband, Robert. She loved spending time with her family playing cards, tending her flower and vegetable gardens, and making sure her birds always had full birdfeeders. She was an avid crafter, completing many different needlepoint projects, including several entirely hand-stitched quilts.
She showed her thoughtfulness in simple ways, such as mailing out a birthday card to her loved ones so she could stay in touch. Her family and friends will always remember
her for her love of music, Bible study, and prayer. She and her husband Robert regularly attended Place of Refuge Ministries in Fowlerville.
A Celebration of Life memorial will take place at Place of Refuge Ministries, 6909 E. Grand River, Fowlerville, MI 48836 on Saturday, August 10, 2024. Visiting will begin at 10 AM. The service will begin at 11 AM.
