 Chad Allen Nichols

Chad Allen Nichols, 55 of Waterford, Michigan passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2024. A Memorial Service will be held at Herrmann Funeral Home at 1005 E. Grand River Ave in Fowlerville, Michigan on July 20th at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:30 am. A luncheon will follow at the American Legion #141 in Howell, MI.

Chad was raised in Fowlerville and graduated from Fowlerville High School in 1987. He is survived by his loving parents Tom and Nancy Nichols, sister ShayAnn and brother-in-law Doug Copley, step-sister Carman, and half-brothers Matthew and Tracy. He is also survived by nephews Michael and Matthew, niece Kelly, and the love of his life and shopping buddy, niece Ashleigh. He was preceded in death by his sister Shari, half-brother Travis and his grandparents.

Chad had so many friends in school. He really loved band and his dear Miss Palazzolo. But football was his passion, and when he could play no more after graduation, he became a diehard Detroit Lions fan and rarely missed a home game for many years. Chad was a tool and die maker and had been for 30 years before his passing.

Chad had friends in all walks of life and made friends everywhere he went. He was a member of the Moose #2685, American Legion #141and Eagles Aerie #3607and was an accomplished dancer in his younger years. He loved riding his motorcycle, whether by himself or on road trips with friends. Chad was on a trip supporting the nonprofit charity Rolling with Rhino at the time of his passing. Chad’s family would like to send out a special thank you to Dale Lappala and Gerald Hogg for being with him as he slipped away to heaven. They would also like to thank the rest of the riders for what they did.

The family asks attendees of the luncheon to show their Lions Pride by wearing Detroit Lions attire at the luncheon.
