Livingston Centre Historic Village offering workshop on older windows

The Livingston Centre Historic Village is offering an opportunity to learn about restoration of older windows. Led by historic renovation expert/contractor Randy Klepinger, the three-day, 20-hour workshop will be at no cost to those participating. All registration fees and necessary on-site materials will be provided by the Livingston Centre Historic Society.

Students will gain experience in renovating historic windows by restoring the windows of the Coughran School at the Historic Village inside the Fowlerville Fairgrounds. Those planning DIY projects on your own historic house, or contractors working with these structures will benefit from this class. There is no better way to learn about repairing/replacing your own windows than to have hands-on experience led by a knowledgeable expert.

The class is scheduled for August 5 - 7, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.; lunch is included. Registration is open to eight students, please send an email stating your interest to LCHV2023@gmail.com. Accepted students must have completed lead certification in advance, as the project includes working with lead paint and leaded glass.
