David Lee Malcom
David Lee Malcom passed away peacefully on January 23, 2024, in Mason, MI. He was born November 17,1939 to Carey and Mary Clella Malcolm in Howell, MI.
When growing up, he attended a one-room schoolhouse on the corner of Fleming and Grand River then later graduated from Howell High School. After graduating, he made Fowlerville, MI his hometown with his wife of 60 years, Sally Malcolm along with his three daughters.
Throughout his lifetime, he held many diverse jobs such as: small engine repair, truck driving, lawn maintenance and snow removal, a burn barrel business, along with various other entrepreneurships. In his downtime, he was known for cruising the neighborhood and following his grandchildren’s endeavors.
One of his favorite memories with his grandchildren was pulling them around with his lawn mower in a barrel train he built by hand. He was also known for bringing home various stray animals and giving them a loving home along with knowing how to make a great bargain and building his own projects.
He survived by his daughters: Karen Malcolm, Kathy (Jerry) Cooper, Cris (Mike) Stock along with his grandchildren: Aidan Smyth, Kyle Cooper, Eric Cooper, Adam (Emily) Stock, Emily (Nathan) Dumminger, and Mia Stock.
He was preceded in death by his parents Carey and Mary Clella Malcolm, wife Sally Malcolm, and daughter Carrie L. Malcolm. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Livingston County Historical Society or the Family Impact Center of Fowlerville, MI. He will truly be remembered and missed by many.
A visitation will be held at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes - MacDonald Chapel in Howell on February 24th at 10am with a memorial service to follow at 11am.
