Brian DeNoyer
On Wednesday, May 31, 2023, Brian DeNoyer, loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away at age 59 at his home in Cocoa Beach, Florida with his family by his side.
Brian was born on July 6, 1963, in Detroit, MI to Charles and Judith (Kolar) DeNoyer. He was a graduate of Garden City West High School, and the Detroit Police Academy. Brian retired as Lieutenant from the Hamburg Township Police Department in Hamburg, MI and then went on to work as a police software trainer to departments around the U.S. On December 8, 1989, he married his Sunshine Stacia Rudnicki DeNoyer. Together they raised two sons, James (Ashley) of Colorado Springs, CO and Robert (Megan) of Oakdale, TN. Brian was the proud Pa of Koen DeNoyer.
Brian had a passion for riding his ATV, hunting, boating, swimming, and scuba diving. He had a hobby of metal detecting and was a firm believer in Oak Island; he was truly a bobby dazzler. He was an avid lover of music, known for his extensive play lists, and Rice Krispies/Fruity Pebble treats. Brian was able to spend his final days enjoying the beach and pool in the company of friends and family.
Brian is known for his goofy sense of humor and quick wit. He had an infectious smile, a kind and compassionate spirit, but he is best known for his love of family and friends. There never was a kinder soul.
In addition to Brian’s wife and sons, he is survived by his brothers Mark (Elaine) and Charles (Laurie), his aunt Christine Hayward, mother-in-law Kate Rudnicki, in-laws Pam Potter, Andie Lowinski, and Brad (Kris) Rudnicki along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents and grandparents, Brian is preceded in death by several aunts, uncles, and father-in-law Richard Rudnicki.
Thank you to Dr. Monica Chatwal from Moffitt Cancer Center, Dr. Anthony DeBenedet from St. Joseph Hospital Ann Arbor, and the hospice team from Vitas, especially nurse Deborah Romero. A special thank you to all of Brian and Stacia’s friends and family for your support, compassion, love and understanding over the past five years.
A private graveside service will take place in July at the Greenwood Cemetery, Fowlerville MI.
Please make memorial contributions to St. Jude Childrens Hospital or the Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa FL.
