St. John's Lutheran invites community to celebrate Advent & Christmas
As gratefulness is shared all around us, St. John's Lutheran invites the community to celebrate Advent and Christmas over the next several weeks. Join them for their annual Cookie Walk/Soup Lunch/Kids' Story Time on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. during Christmas in the Ville. Homemade cookies will be available for sale for five dollars per dozen. You can also enjoy a bowl of soup, bread and a cookie for five dollars per person. Kids will enjoy Story Time featuring the Christmas Story, as presented by the R.E.A.D. Team. Each child will receive a book to take home as the team continues its mission to help grow strong readers.

On Sunday, December 18, the congregation will host two special offerings. At 9:30 a.m., a special inter-generational Christmas program of beautiful music will be offered, entitled, "The Gift Goes On." In the afternoon, St. John's will set the stage for an old-time "radio show" presentation of, "The Christmas Carol." Local talent will revive the classic roles of Ebenezer Scrooge, Bob Crachet, the Spirits of Christmas and Tiny Tim. This is a free event and the community is welcome to come and enjoy the classic story.

St. John's Lutheran Church is located in the village of Fowlerville at 132 South Benjamin, one block south of Grand River Avenue. Worship with Holy Communion is offered each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and all are welcome.
