Reading to Bosco - Most Mondays at 4pm
All Ages. Bosco is a Therapy Dog in training. Help him learn how to be a good therapy reading dog by reading to him at the Library! Reading to Bosco improves literacy skills, and builds fluency and reading confidence regardless of ability. Bosco’s “Mom” Shelly has been a part of our library community volunteering her time and sharing her other reading therapy dogs for 15+ years. *Drop-ins are welcome!

Cardio Drumming - Tuesdays at 7pm Adults. Get your sweat on with a fun workout from instructors Kim and Kerrek Griffes. Please remember to bring water and wear comfortable clothes. Spaces are limited to 20 participants on a first-come, first-served basis. *There is a small cash-only fee for this class of $6. At the class, you can rent a kit for an additional $2. Drop-ins are welcome!

Summer Lunch Bunch: - Wednesday, August 14th11:30am-1pm All Ages. Join the Salvation Army at the Library for a packed lunch, a fun family activity, and a special sweet treat for kids at this final Lunch Bunch of the season! *Drop-ins are welcome.

Readers are Leaders Storytime: - Wednesday, August 14th 11:30am-1pm All Ages. Michigan Senator, Lana Theis, will visit the Library for a special storytime at the same time as the Salvation Army Summer Lunch Bunch! Sen. Theis will read a storyand to promote reading through her “Readers are Leaders” reading program. *Drop-ins are welcome.

Honest Yoga at the Library: - Fridays at 9:30am Adults. Join Yoga Instructor, Erin Wade, owner of Honest Yoga, for weekly sessions at the Library. Yoga is accessible for adults of all ages through modifications. Please remember to bring a mat to practice on. *Spaces are limited to a first come-first served basis. There is a small $5 cash-only fee for this class. Drop-ins are welcome.

The Page Fence Giants: Author Talk with Mitch Lutzke: Thursday, August 15th at 7pm Adults. Join us in welcoming Michigan Notable Author, Mitch Lutzke, to the Library! Mitch is the author of The Page Fence Giants, about an all-star black baseball club sponsored by a woven-wire fence company in Adrian, Michigan in the 1890’s. Talk will be followed by a Q&A session. Copies of the book will be available for purchase. *Space is limited. Register in person to attend. Registration begins August 1st and includes a refundable $5 cash deposit.

Beyond the Book: The Martian: - Thursday, August 29th Author Interview at 4:30pm & Movie at 6:30pm
Adults. Join us at 4:30pm for a special re-screening of the Library’s 2016 interview with The Martian author, Andy Weir! The screening will be followed by a pizza break, provided by the Library, and the movie will begin at the usual time of 6:30pm. Movie-style refreshments will be served during the movie only. *You are welcome to attend either or both portions of the event. Please let us know at registration if you will be participating in the pizza dinner. Registration begins August 1st.
