Winter Reading Program! March 1st-30thAll Ages. In the month of March, all ages are invited to celebrate March is Reading Month by participating in the Winter Reading Program at the Library! Starting March 1st, visit the front desk to pick up your reading log! You can also participate online through Wandoo Reader, our online reading log! Cardio Drumming - Tuesdays at 7pmAdults. Increase your physical literacy with a fun workout from instructor Kim Griffes. Please remember to bring water and wear comfortable clothes. Spaces are limited to 20 participants on a first-come, first-served basis. *There is a small cash-only fee for this class of $6 if you bring your own equipment or $8 to rent a ball, bucket, and drumsticks. Drop-in class.

Recycled Magazine Baskets - Thursday, March 28th at 7pmA Livingston Reads Event
Adults. Come to the Library to learn how to do a fun magazine recycling craft. Make a decorative basket and spend time with friends. By recycling paper and magazines, you can help prevent deforestation. Magazines will be provided. Refreshments will be served. *Space is limited. Register in person to attend. Registration begins March 7th and includes a refundable $5 cash deposit.

Yoga with Erin - Fridays at 9:30amAdults. Join Erin, co-owner of SoulShine Yoga for weekly sessions at the Library. Yoga is accessible for adults of all ages through modifications. Please remember to bring water to drink and your own mat to practice on. *Spaces are limited to a first come-first served basis. There is a small $5 cash-only fee for this class. Wicked Women of Detroit: Author Talk with Tobin T. Buhk - Thursday, April 4th at 7pmAdults. Welcome Tobin T. Buhk to the Library! Tobin's book recounts the thrilling tales of Detroit's most violent, clever, and misunderstood female criminals. Talk will include a Q&A session and copies of the book will be available for purchase. Beyond the Book: The Boy in the Striped Pajamas Thursday, April 11th at 7pmAdults. Featuring a book and its film adaptation. Movie begins at 7pm, followed by discussion. Movie-style refreshments will be served. *Register in person to attend. Registration begins March 21st. Books will be given at registration while supplies last.

Alzheimer’s Workshop - Thursday, April 18th at 7pmKnow the 10 Signs: Early Detection Matters A workshop presented by the Alzheimer's Association Adults.If you or someone you know is experiencing memory loss or behavioral changes, it's time to learn the facts. Early detection of Alzheimer's disease gives you a chance to begin drug therapy, enroll in clinical studies, and plan for the future. This interactive workshop features video clips of people with Alzheimer's disease.*Register in person to attend. Registration begins March 28th and includes a refundable $5 cash deposit. Programs with less than 10 registrants are subject to cancellation.

Paws for a Good Cause - Friday, April 26th at 5-7pmTeens 6th-12th Grade. Carousel Acres is back at the Library for a small animal encounter! You will be able to pet and hold baby animals. We will also be making tie blankets to be donated to the Livingston County Animal Shelter. Snacks and beverages will be provided. *Registration is required and includes a 2018-2019 signed Program Permission Form. Registration begins April 5th. Register by April 24th to attend.
