County-wide exhibit of student artwork at Howell Opera House March 5-16
GOT ART is an annual county-wide art exhibit of student artwork that is now celebrating its 21st year at the historic Howell Opera House. While it began as a way to display Howell student art in the community, Got Art has since grown to include all of Livingston County’s school’s students ranging from grades K – 12.
The event, which is presented by the Livingston Arts Council, will get underway this Tuesday, March 5.
Art instructors for the public schools promote learning in a variety of mediums to enhance the artistic talents of our young people. Got Art is the Livingston Art Council’s way to not only promote the talents of students of art throughout Livingston County, but also show our appreciation for arts programs in our schools.
The secondary (middle and high school) show opens on March 5th and runs through March 9th. The elementary show opens on March 12th and runs through March 16th. Times are 4:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday through Friday, and from Noon – 5:00 pm on Saturday. GOT ART is open to the public and is free of charge.
