Russell Gardner
Russell Gardner was born March 26, 1955 in Howell, MI. Russell passed away at age 63 on Tuesday October 9, 2018 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan surrounded by his loved ones. Russell is survived by his wife, Pam (of 43 years); his children, Chris, Scott (Katrina), Kelly (Trevor), and Kathy (Jon); and his grandchildren, Cole, Jake, Abby, Halie, Mya, and Sammy.
Preceding Russell’s death were his mother, Helen, his father, Dean, and his brother, Dean.
Russell was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather (Pa/Grampy) with a passion for woodworking, building things, and teaching others—especially his grandchildren.
He especially enjoyed building projects with his grandchildren at Christmas and other holidays by assisting and encouraging them to use their imaginations and create special gifts for family members.
Russell’s other passion he enjoyed greatly was his love for antiques and tractors—especially if it involved traveling to shows, swap meets or auctions where he could find his next “treasure” for his collection.
He will be remembered most by his famous one-liners of
“Hey, check this out!” or “Hey, look what I picked up!”
