The Fowlerville District Library will be closed Wednesday, July 4thand reopening Thursday, July 5that 9:30am to observe Independence Day. Have a safe and happy holiday! The Little Free Library is available for your reading needs during this time and any materials to be returned can be placed in the newly repainted GREEN drop box. Thank you.

Fine Forgiveness - June 15th-30th
In celebration of our new building and as a thank-you to our patrons who were so patient while we were closed, we are offering fine forgiveness for all materials returned during the remainder of the month of June! *Fine forgiveness applies only to materials returned during the month of June, and not for materials previously returned.

Summer Lunch Bunch - Thursdays June 21st-August 30th
All Ages. The library will be hosting the Summer Lunch Bunch program this summer. Join the Salvation Army for a packed lunch and family activity. After, check out our collection of books and DVDs for all ages!

Summer Reading Program Kickoff: Libraries Rock… Outdoors!
Wednesday, June 27th at 11am
All Summer Reading Program Participants are invited! Join us under the pavilion at Centennial Park as we welcome the Howell Nature Center and we learn about Animal Acoustics! Reading Logs and bags will be passed our immediately following the program. *This program may be held off-site. Check our website at www.fowlervillelibrary.org and our Facebook page for updates the day of the program.

Yoga Fitness Self-Defense Mondays starting July 9th at 7pm
Adults. Join certified Mixed Martial Arts Instructor, John Noonan, as he leads you in a series of yoga and self-defense exercises that will help increase your flexibility and movement. Exercises are designed to be accessible to adults of all ages. Please remember to bring water to drink and
your own towel or mat to practice on. Spaces are limited to 10 participants on a first-come, first-served basis. *There is a small cash-only fee for this class of $5. Drop-in class.

Teen Tuesday Film Festival - July 10th at 4pm
School of Rock (PG-13)
Teens 6th-12th grades. Enjoy a free movie with friends, popcorn, and a beverage. If you are staying for the Teen Summer Reading Program at 7pm, please bring a “sack lunch”, as you will not have time to go home for dinner between programs.  *Seating is limited. Registration begins June 26th. If there is still seating available, drop-ins are welcome!

Detroit Music Oral Histories - Thursday, July 12th at 7pm
Adults. After three years of conducting oral histories with more than a dozen members of the music industry, Kim Schroeder of Wayne State University will share the insights of Detroit musicians as to how and why Detroit has produced so much musical talent over so many years. Interviews feature musicians from a myriad of genres, including R&B, jazz, pop rock, garage rock, and classical. Register in person to attend. Registration begins June 28th and includes a refundable $5 cash deposit.

Movies on the Lawn @ 131 Mill Street
Friday, July 13th: Sing (PG)
All Ages. Join us on the lawn outside the old library building for an outdoor movie! The movie starts as soon as it’s dark enough to see the picture well on the screen. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, snacks, and bug spray. Come early to pick your spot on the lawn! *Weather permitting. Drop-in event. Children 12 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Teens 13 and older must have a signed Program Permission Form or be accompanied by an adult.
