Kenneth Paul Engisch
Kenneth Paul Engisch, who was born at home in Berkley, MI on August 24, 1943, to Fredrick and Ida (Pickup) Engisch, died at St. Joseph Livingston Hospital in Howell Michigan, age 74, surrounded by his immediate family, on April 2, 2018. Ken had four siblings: Beverly, Christine, Jacqueline, and Michael. He went to Berkley High School and attended trade school at General Motors. Kenneth served in the U.S. Air Force from 1961 to 1964. He married Jane on October 15, 1977 at All Saints Lutheran Church in Livonia. He then adopted Tammy and John. He worked at General Motors for 34 years as a millwright with his best friend, Robert Press. Ken has lived in Berkley, Livonia, Westland, and has been in Fowlerville for 32 years. He has been a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church for 30 years. Ken enjoyed traveling, working in his barn, cutting grass, watching his grandchildren, and spending time with his wife, Jane.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Jane Engisch; son, Kenneth Engisch; daughter, Tammy (Mike) Chelmicki; son, John (Heather) Engisch; grandchildren: Shane (Rachel), Cody, Kyle, Aleighsha, Jena, Marissa, Natashia, Nathan, and Dylan; great-grandchildren: Harmony, Arieus, and Elijah; brother, Mike (Joanne) Engisch; sister, Christine Timon, and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life was held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 132 S Benjamin St., Fowlerville, Michigan on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. It was Kenneth’s wish that any memorials go to Jane or to St. John’s Lutheran Church.
