Pancake Supper offered at St. John’s Lutheran Church Tuesday March 5
The Men’s Ministry at St. John’s invites you to join them on Tuesday, March 5 for their annual Pancake Supper. The meal will be served from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.  On the menu, pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs and all the fixings. Free-will donations will be accepted in order to support mission and ministry activities.
In the past years, proceeds from this supper have been used for feeding other hungry people by way of the Family Impact Center and Kids Coalition Against Hunger meal packing events. They have also been used to help replace windows in the Fowlerville Senior Center and to help defray costs of Doug Burnie’s mission trips to Mexico.
The Fishers of Men Ministry is grateful for the continued support of the community as this event takes place and they hope you will join them once again for good food and conversation around the table. www.stjohnsfowlerville.org

Fowlerville Alumni Association seeking donations for scholarship fund
In 1974, officers of the Fowlerville Alumni Association established the FHS Alumni Scholarship Program. Monies are raised yearly to enable the organization to present scholarships to members of the current high school graduating class.
Over the past 40 plus years of the program, well over 150 young people have been recipients of this scholarship. The organization hopes to continue this tradition. Again this year, the alumni association will present four scholarships at the 2019 Senior Awards Night in May. Recipients are also recognized at the annual FHS Alumni Banquet. This year the 126th annual banquet is Saturday, June 8, at 6 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.
The scholarship fund is maintained through the many donations received in memory of loved ones who either were graduates of Fowlerville High School or who maintained strong connections to the school, including teachers, coaches, bus drivers, and friends of the school.
Please feel free to make donations in any amount at any time during the year. Some send donations annually, while for others it is a one-time gift.
Donations should be sent to: Ed Helzerman, Post Office Box 446, Fowlerville MI 48836. To be recognized in the 2019 program, a donation should reach Helzerman by May 6. Your generosity will not only help maintain the scholarship program, but will assist a graduating senior with college expenses. The FHS Alumni Association is a 501(c)(3) organization. It is the intention of the organization to establish a foundation grant once sufficient funds have been obtained.

Final two Love & Logic Parenting Classes being offered March 14 & 21

Even if you were unable to attend the first two sessions, please feel free to join us and learn some practical skills that can be used immediately. Cost is a $10 donation for the workbook, but scholarships are available.  Call Barb at 517-223-4428 as soon as possible if you are interested or have questions.

County-wide exhibit of student artwork at Howell Opera House March 5-16
GOT ART is an annual county-wide art exhibit of student artwork that is now celebrating its 21st year at the historic Howell Opera House. While it began as a way to display Howell student art in the community, Got Art has since grown to include all of Livingston County’s school’s students ranging from grades K – 12.
The event, which is presented by the Livingston Arts Council, will get underway this Tuesday, March 5.
Art instructors for the public schools promote learning in a variety of mediums to enhance the artistic talents of our young people. Got Art is the Livingston Art Council’s way to not only promote the talents of students of art throughout Livingston County, but also show our appreciation for arts programs in our schools.
The secondary (middle and high school) show opens on March 5th and runs through March 9th. The elementary show opens on March 12th and runs through March 16th. Times are 4:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday through Friday, and from Noon – 5:00 pm on Saturday. GOT ART is open to the public and is free of charge.

Rene Pierre Michele
Rene Pierre Michele (George), age 66, of Fowlerville went home to be with his Lord  & Savior on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019.  Loving husband to his high school sweetheart Linda. Proud father of Kim, Adam (Stefanie), and Tony.  He is also survived by his mother Trudy and siblings Linda (Michael), Andre (Pam), and Pam.
His contagious smile, wonderful sense of humor and heart that cared deeply for the well-being of others brightened all of our days.  He was loved by all that knew him.  He never sought fame or outward reward but humbly served with one purpose in mind and that was to bring hope and glory to others.  He will be missed greatly by all.  The peace that we have right now is knowing that he is with Jesus Christ, our Lord  & Savior.
Funeral Services were held on Friday, Feb. 22, 2019 at the Fowlerville Church of the Nazarene.  Rene’s resting place will be Greenwood Cemetery.  Online condolences may be expressed at:  https://www.pjherrmannfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Family Impact Center in Fowlerville.
