Historical Corner:
Livingston Centre Historic Village having spring clean-up on May 13th
The Livingston Centre Historic Village will be the site of the annual spring clean-up on Wednesday, May 13th. Volunteers from local groups and businesses will be contributing both time and services. Individuals are invited to join in this effort to beautify the grounds of the Village; showing pride in both businesses and homes of the past, as did the original occupants.
Also, the volunteer team is asking for any extra perennials you may have as you begin your own garden work and thin some of your plants. If any of your garden plants need new homes, please remember your local Historic Village---they will beautify the Village as the 2026 season begins. Your extras can be left at the Fowlerville Fair office, prior to Tues., 5/12. for planting around the historic structures.
Thank you for your support and for hands-on efforts to improve the Historic Village and to strengthen this community by honoring its history. Further information can be requested by emailing FowlervilleHistory@gmail.com
Don't forget to check out the website of the Fowlerville District Library. On Thurs., May 14, 6:00 pm, a creative program will be held for making patriotic banners, celebrating our nation's 250 years of independence (registration is required) and the Writer's Group will meet at 11:00 am on Fri., May 15 where you can document your own history. The Carnegie Library in Howell also hosts a writing program called Memoirs, Etc on the 2nd Wed. of each month at 10:00am where you can chronical and share your history.
