Kristina Lyke files for Circuit Court Judge
Kristina Lyke has filed for the Livingston County Circuit Court Judge position that will be on the ballot this election.
She issued the following statement in announcing her candidacy.
Kristina Lyke is an experienced attorney who was raised in the Village of Pinckney and currently resides in Fowlerville. She was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 2006, as well as to both the Western and Eastern Federal District Courts.
Kristina’s commitment to her community began early. She made history as the youngest Trustee elected in the Village of Pinckney. During her tenure, she played a key role in securing a raise for the local police department and identified instances of improper “double dipping” in municipal spending. Her efforts demonstrated a strong dedication to both public safety and responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars—qualities rooted in integrity and accountability.
Her strong work ethic was evident long before her legal career began. Kristina worked four jobs to put herself through school, including positions at Wendy’s in Brighton, Alpines in Hamburg, Busch’s, and Read Lumber in Pinckney. Hard work and perseverance have been constants throughout her life—traits that continue to define her professional approach.
Kristina’s values were shaped by her upbringing: a foundation of faith instilled by her mother and a respect for our constitutional rights, including the Second Amendment, emphasized by her father. These principles continue to guide her both personally and professionally.
She is the founder of Lyke Law, PLLC, where she has earned recognition for her litigation skills through multiple awards such as Michigan Top Lawyers in Family Law, Criminal Law Top 10 Attorneys, Top Ten Attorney for Client Satisfaction, National Top Criminal Defense Lawyer, Elite Attorney, Recognizing Excellence in Family and Divorce Law, America’s Top 100 Attorneys Lifetime Achievement, and placed in the Washington Post for “Most Influential Lawyers of 2025”.
Kristina began her legal career with the Livingston County Prosecutor’s Office under the leadership of David Morse. She later expanded her experience by defending police grievances, prosecution for townships and practicing as a criminal defense, civil, family, and constitutional attorney. This balanced experience on both sides of the courtroom provides her with a well-rounded perspective on the justice system.
In addition to her legal practice, Kristina is a certified mediator and parenting time coordinator, reflecting her dedication to helping families—including families who face mental health challenges—navigate difficult situations.
Kristina is also deeply committed to supporting veterans. She actively works to protect the rights of those who have served our country, offering pro bono services and reduced-fee representation when needed.
Her passion for the law extends to mentorship and education. Kristina has guided law students, served as a judge in academic competitions, guest speaker at Cooley and several speaking events educating individuals of their First and Second Amendment and educated high school students on constitutional issues. Kristina has created programs for young teenagers to become law-abiding citizens in the future.
Beyond her legal and educational efforts, Kristina remains highly active in her community. She is/was a member of several Chambers of Commerce, including Howell, Greater Brighton, Hamburg, Hell, Pinckney, and Lebanese organizations. She also volunteers and sponsors events focused on assisting vulnerable populations and those in need and creates programs for young teenagers to become law-abiding citizens in the future.
For Kristina Lyke, community is more than a concept—it is a lifelong commitment. Her past, present, and future efforts are centered on improving, protecting, and serving the residents of Livingston County.
Her character, experience, and dedication are essential qualities for a judge—qualities that influence decisions impacting not only those in the courtroom, but the broader community as well.
Kristina Lyke’s priorities are:
• Putting People First - Prioritize the needs, dignity, and fair treatment of every individual who comes before the court
• Upholding the Rule of Law - Ensure all decisions are grounded in the law and faithfully adhere to both State and Federal Constitutions

We Need a Rule of Law Judge, who is also a Public Servant. Far too often, judges are either not from our community or forget where they come from or fail to recall they are there “For the People”.
Putting people first is not a new campaign slogan for Kristina---it has been the foundation of her career. As an attorney, she has represented families, children, veterans, domestic violence victims, and first responders.
Whether fighting to protect abused children, defending the freedoms of veterans, advocating for the vulnerable individuals, or standing up for the rights of first responders, Kristina has always been committed to protecting the constitutional rights of Americans---including the First, Second, and Fourth Amendments.
Kristina Lyke will bring the same experience integrity, and commitment to serve as Livingston County’s next Circuit Court Judge.
