Kerry ‘Pat’ Devine
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Kerry “Pat” Patrick Devine, who left us on Friday, March 6, 2026, at the age of 78 in Fowlerville, Michigan. Pat was born on March 29, 1947, in Highland Park, Michigan, to Fritz and Edna Devine (Rife).
To know Pat was to know a man with a story ready for just about any occasion. Trying to sum up a life like his in a few paragraphs hardly seems possible. Pat lived fully, laughed easily, and had a way of turning everyday moments into memories worth telling again and again.
Pat proudly served in the United States Army for four years. Throughout his life, he enjoyed playing and coaching sports, spending time outdoors hunting and fishing, and being part of the community he cared about. As a member of American Legion Post 510, he was known for showing up whenever someone needed a hand or a bit of advice.
More than anything, Pat loved people. He enjoyed a good conversation, a good laugh, and the simple joy of being surrounded by family and friends. His presence will be deeply missed, but the stories and laughter he leaves behind will continue to be shared for years to come.
Those memories live on through the family he loved so deeply. He is survived by his children: Keri and John Kinnunen; Kayla and David Martinez; William (Billy) Devine and Melissa Ziobron; and John and Andi McFadden. He was a proud grandfather to Megan, Matthew, Dameon, Mikella, Brody, Tyler, Ciarra, Leah, Lilah, Kerissah, Teagan, Tayden, Addison, Bryce, Presley, Caleb, Malcolm, and Averie, who were a constant source of joy in his life.
Pat is also survived by his dear sisters Karen (Gerry) Ouillette and Kathleen (Bill) Cool; sisters-in-law Jamie (Terry) Devine and Judy (Fred) Devine; along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members who meant the world to him.
Waiting to greet him on the other side were his cherished wife, Debi (Deborah Horton), and his older brothers Jim, Fred, and Terry—very likely already holding a cold beer and ready to catch up the moment he arrived.
A Celebration of Life with a final salute was held at 2:00 PM on March 15, along with a luncheon, at the American Legion Post 510 in Stockbridge. Those attending shared stories, laughter, and memories of a life well lived.
Donations can be made to American Legion Post 510 or to the Ann Arbor Fisher house.
