 Mary Margaret Watson

Harrison, Michigan

Her Legacy… Mary Margaret Watson, 86, passed away on March 19, 2026. Born on July 23, 1939, in Detroit, Michigan, to Norman and Hazel (Audas) Mather, she married the love of her life, Fred Watson, on September 24, 1960, in Livonia, Michigan. Throughout her life, Mary lived with a servant’s heart and a deep compassion for her family and friends. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including reading, cooking, and watching cooking shows. Additionally, she was an active member of a cooking club alongside several of her cousins, where they shared meals and recipes.

Above all, Mary cherished her family. In her everyday life, she made it a priority to stay connected, often calling her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren just to hear about their day. These conversations, no matter how ordinary, brought her great joy.

Her faith in Jesus was a cornerstone of her life. She was a devoted member of St. John Lutheran Church in Fowlerville for many years. Wherever Mary and Fred called home, they remained connected to a church, faithfully nurturing both their community and their shared faith.

Mary was deeply loved by all who knew her, and her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for her family will be dearly missed.

Her Family… Mary will be missed by her children, Bill (Donna) Watson, Kimberly (Gerald) Hiveley, Fred (Dawn) Watson Jr; grandchildren, Rachel (Steven) Foster, Laura (Rocky) Hitchcock, Randi Watson, Dayna (Dan) Harland, and Lauren (Cody) Schmalz; and great grandchildren, Paige Foster, Rhett Foster, Macey Hitchcock, Brinley Hitchcock, Brett Harland, Dawson Harland, and Jase Schmalz. She is preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Hazel Mather, and her in-laws, Fred and Geraldine Watson.

Her Farewell… Mary’s family and friends will be gathering privately at a later date. Please leave a message of comfort for Mary’s family at 1-877-231-7900, or sign her guestbook at www.borekjennings.com.
