Fowlerville 4th of July Committee’s Chili Cook-Off to be held Saturday, March 21
The Fowlerville 4th of July Committee’s 21st annual Chili Cook-Off will be held on Saturday, March 21, from 4-7 p.m. with lots of chili to taste test.
The event will once again be held at the Fowlerville VFW Post, located at 215 Veterans Drive.
Money raised from the Cook-Off helps fund the Fowlerville 4th of July fireworks and other activities held during the local Independence Day celebration.
Awards for the chili entries include Judges’ Choice and People’s Choice as well as Best Presentation (table area decorations).
Back for its third year will be a Sweets Cook Off, with contestants bringing in desserts for judging. Awards will be given out for Judges’ Choice, People’s Choice, and Best Presentation.
Along with the public being able to taste test the entries and vote for their favorites by making a monetary donation, the fun afternoon will include raffles and a Silent Auction.
Admission is $10 for persons 13 years and older and $5 for kids 12 and under which includes a bowl of chili, a drink and a dessert, plus the taste testing.
