Hearse Fest returns to Fowlerville Fairground on Saturday, Sept. 21st
The Hearse Fest returns to the Fowlerville Fairgrounds on Saturday, Sept. 21, with its combination car show and Halloween party—with the later having a ghoulish theme.
The line-up of vehicles includes dozens of hearses—many of them models from earlier years and others of newer vintage—along with a few unique, customized vehicles. Many of them—reflecting the ghoulish theme—feature a coffin in the back, macabre decorations, and a plastic skeleton.
As for the Halloween aspect, many participants dress up in costumes, along with there being vendors who offer merchandise appropriate for the Oct. 31st holiday.
Judging is held for the hearses, with spectators voting on their favorites ones. Costume judging also takes place, along with a pine box derby.
