Patricia Shepherd
Patricia Shepherd of Howell, MI passed away peacefully on Friday, January 7, 2022 with family by her side. She is preceded in death by her husband, Herman, daughter, Penny and granddaughter, Katie.
Pat was born on September 15, 1937 in Wooten, KY to Lawrence and Kate Turner. She married Herman Shepherd on July 28, 1958 and had 4 children: Tammy (Chris) O’Doherty, Herman Talmadge Shepherd, Penny (Robert) Cox and Greg (Jennifer) Shepherd. She had 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
Pat was extremely proud of the years she dedicated to being a working mother; volunteering in her spare time and thriving for over 30 years of labor on assembly lines in various factories. She was the type of person that would give anyone the shirt off her back or the money out of her sock.
In her spare time, Pat loved teaching family and friends how to make fried chicken and hand pies, decorating for holidays and collecting antiques. In her golden years, she devoted herself to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were truly the light of her life.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 13th at Herrmann Funeral Home in Fowlerville at 1:00pm. There was a private family viewing from 10-10:30am, followed by an open viewing from 10:30am-1:00pm. Burial followed at Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Herrmann Funeral Home.
