 Paul E. Wylie, Jr.

Paul E. Wylie, Jr, age 55 of Howell MI, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at home unexpectedly due to complications related to COVID-19. Paul was born March 18, 1966 In Howell, and attended school in Howell through elementary years and graduated from Fowlerville High School in 1984. He attended college at Michigan Tech University. Paul trained as a mechanic, and worked at the General Motors Proving Ground, then later worked with his brother driving truck for Aqua Haul, and most recently was employed by Stanley Black and Decker in Dexter, MI.

Paul loved the outdoors and spent years in the woods racing Enduro’s, hunting and fishing, and was nearly always accompanied by a good dog. He was a great friend to many, and the best guy to have around if something was broken or needed a fast fix with limited resources. There isn’t anything he couldn’t manage to modify and make useful.

Along with his mechanical knowledge, Paul was an artist underneath. He created wood carvings, furniture, paintings, and whimsical yard art as gifts, delivered with a smile and a story behind it.

Paul is survived by his mother Judy Devine; step-mother Kathy Wylie; brother David Wylie, sister Stacey (Mike) Coddington, and nephews Branden Wylie, Josh Wylie, Joel Coddington, and niece Nora Coddington. He leaves behind truest friends in Anne Owens and Jailyn Owens, and cousins Jon Wylie and Jan Wylie. He will be dearly missed by friends and family alike.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to: Grand Equestrians ℅ Wendy Parks, Treasurer P.O. Box 642 Hartland, MI 48353. Visitation was being held on Saturday, January 29th from 10:00 a.m. until the Service time at noon. Arrangements entrusted to Herrmann Funeral Home.
