 Tara Hamed

Tara Kathrine Hamed passed away on Halloween Day October 31, 2021 at her home in Park Hills MO. She was born on Thanksgiving Day November 24, 1971, at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn MI, to Joanna and Sam Hamed.

Tara loved life, reading, gardening, hunting and cooking. Moving out to Fowlerville in her teens, she found plenty of space in the countryside between her parent’s horse farm and her different locations of living in Fowlerville to do just that, enjoy life. Her green thumb brought forth a continuous flow of fresh fruit and vegetables and, along with her hunting, the meals she loved to cook were mouthwatering. Family gatherings were large, and she enjoyed preparing the food to feed the many.

Throughout her life she traveled many paths but always made it back to Fowlerville where she felt the most comfortable and called home. She loved working with rescue horses whether it was helping in the barn or exercising the horses. She had fondness of all animals and they related to her. She had always been at her best when it came to helping and caring for an animal.

Tara in her prime when life was good, she had a sweet gentle loving nature always there for you and willing to step up whenever asked. A hard worker and loving daughter and mother. A car accident left her in her final years suffering in pain from a back injury. A botched surgery made it impossible for her to continue enjoying the country life as she loved. She moved to Missouri with hopes of finding a path to start new; unfortunately that path was no longer available and her last couple of years she lived in total pain. She is now free of that pain and in a better place. We are saying goodbye to a beautiful woman that was taken to early in life. R.I. P.

Tara was survived by her three children: Gabriella (Gabby) Marie Howes Franka, Jacob (Jake) Edward Hicks and Elbee Katrine Chora; her mother: Joanna Goodall; brothers: Sam and Mustafa Hamed; sister: Domenica Krayewski, along with her two favorite girls, granddaughters: Emery Kathryn and Nova Rae Franka. She would be challenged by Emery nightly at chess. Her last days were happy ones, shared with her granddaughters thanks to the internet.

She was preceded in death by her father Saad (Sam) Hamed

The family has decided to cremate Tara and hold a service later; notification will be sent. A tree with be planted and dedicated to her and a portion of her ashes will be laid to rest alongside of the tree so that she can continue to flourish as the tree grows. Herrmann Funeral Home in Fowlerville were entrusted to bring her home to Fowlerville and handle all the arrangements.
