William Loyd Vogt
    William (Bill) Loyd Vogt, of Fowlerville, Michigan, died July 1, 2020, at St. Vincent Hospital in North Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 69.
     William was born in Howell, Michigan on October 18, 1950, to William and Hilda Vogt. He graduated from Fowlerville High School in 1969 and joined the United States Army immediately thereafter, and served in the Vietnam War as Military Police. He returned home from duty and attended  Lansing  Community College where he earned a degree  in Auto Mechanics and work for Electrical Apparatus in Howell, Michigan, concurrently serving as a part-time  member of the Army Reserves Unit in Lansing, Michigan. He then re-enlisted as a full-time Sergeant in the Army Reserves making a career of computer logistics.  
     During his military career he was stationed in many places, including Arkansas, California, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, New York, Oklahoma, and Vietnam.  He retired from the U.S. Army, May 1, 1998, in North Little Rock, Arkansas, where he lived the remainder of his life. 
     He is survived by his aunt, Rhua (Vogt) Bliss; siblings, Wanda (Vogt) Slick and Larry Vogt; nieces Tina Anderson, Tanja Scifers, Tiffany Carr, and Joeline Slick; as well as cousins, great nieces and nephew, and his long-time companion, Delorce Elliott, and her children.
    Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 30, 2020, at 2 pm, in Greenwood Cemetery in Fowlerville, Michigan with Military Honors.  In honor of his love for the military, the family asks that any donations be made to the VFW National Home for Children, 3573 S Waverly Rd, Eaton Rapids, MI 48827.
