Dr. Daniel Paternoster
It is with a heavy heart that we share news of the passing of Dr. Daniel Paternoster of Fowlerville, Michigan on July 1, 2020. Born in 1957, Daniel spent the majority of his childhood in Africa as a child of missionaries. Daniel attended Michigan State University for both his undergraduate and graduate work. He is a graduate of Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Daniel had a full career as a veterinarian in Michigan and as a missionary in Niger, Africa. He loved riding his bicycle and flying his Comanche. Daniel was actively involved in his local church and the denomination at the national level.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Nancy, daughters, Sarah and Rachel (Mitchell), and his siblings, Paul (Dawn), James (Barb), Anita (Lee), John (Dera), and Philip (Daniela), and numerous nieces and nephews.
As a strong man of faith, we rest assured that Daniel is in good company with his Lord. While we miss him, we look forward to seeing him again in his heavenly home.
Daniel’s life will be celebrated on July 25th with a 1pm outdoor visitation and a 2pm indoor memorial service at Fowlerville United Brethren Church. The service will be available to watch live online through the church’s website. Flowers may be delivered after 10am the morning of the 25th to the church. Gifts in Daniel’s honor may be given to the SIM Fulfulde Literacy/Translation Project (Project ID 097427-091) in Niger, Africa through the simusa.org/give website.
