Fowlerville District Library Update on Services & Hours
     The Fowlerville District Library building is open with restricted hours as well as continuing to offer separate curbside service hours (highly recommended). Please see the hours for both listed below. In compliance with executive order No. 2020-147; face masks are required for all library patrons and staff as well as maintaining the social distancing of 6 feet. Patrons entering the building are encouraged to make their visit as short as possible. In keeping with social distancing and cleaning guidelines, as well as to ensure the health and safety of FDL Patrons, the Library will have a limited number of computers availablefor patron use. There will be a strict time limit of one hour per day, per patron, for each computer. FDL’s Wi-Fi now reaches out in the side yard.

    Step 1: You can make requests: by calling the Library directly, emailing us or make your holds through the FDL’s card catalog (Max 10 items)  --Not sure what you would like to read? Use our reader’s advisory at the desk, they can help! All you need is to give them a subject, author, or genre, and they will do the rest.
    Step 2: One hour after your request has been made, please come to the Library and park in the curbside pickup designated parking located in front of the side yard.
    Step 3: From your car, call the Library and someone will come out with your requested materials.
    Step 4: Please present your library card or driver's license and your materials will be given to you.

Imagine Your Story Summer Reading Program is Open
    All Summer Reading Classes are intended for Fowlerville School District residents.

    All summer programs will be held virtually via Zoom, Facebook Live or YouTube. Program descriptions, virtual location, and details on how to register for each program are below.(There will be no in-person programs through August.)    All programs require registration and is done by sending a Facebook Personal Message to the Library or by emailing to info@fowlervillelibrary.org. Zoom invitations will be sent out the day before the program date.

Zoom Tea and Chocolate Writer’s Group: Continuing Wednesday July 29, 2020 at 2:30pm via Zoom
Adults.  Do you want feedback on your work-in-progress from other writers? This is the group for you!  Feel free to bring a 1-page sample of a current project for feedback. This program meets weekly on Wednesdays and the last meeting for this season is Wednesday, August 12th. Space is still available.

Patriotic Book Page Wreath: Thursday, July 30, 2020 at 6pm via Zoom
Adults. In commemoration of this year's Livingston Reads choice, we will be creating patriotic wreaths. A craft kit will be available for pick up during curbside service starting the week of the program.  Basic supplies and instruction will be provided,some items to be provided by patrons. Please see the flyer on our website or Facebook for details. Come craft along with Jen the instructor live, or the video will be on our YouTube channel afterward.

Inspiring Speaker Kim Darst: Thursday, August 6, 2020 at 6:30pm – 8pm viaZoom 
Adults Kim Darst is an Iditarod Competitor, Husky Haven Kennel owner, helicopter pilot and instructor. Kim will present on being a woman in the Iditarod and the preparation required, caring for her animals and her experiences flying and teaching others to fly helicopters. A question and answer session will follow Kim’s Presentation.

Family Brick Challenge: Wednesday, August 18, 2020 at 6:30pm via Zoom  ( 1 hr. )
Family. Come have fun with other families on Zoom playing our (Lego) Brick Challenge using whatever bricks you have at home. The library marshal will flip a card to let you know what to make and you decide if you're up to the challenge by building it. All ages are welcome and families can play together as a group. Pictures are welcome to put on Facebook afterword to show off your building expertise. Imagine Your “King”—Virtual Summer Reading Program Wrap-Up

All Ages. Huzzah! Huzzah! Join us virtually on Zoom to enjoy an interactive show that reveals your imagination is "KING" with the Acting Up Theatre Company. Open to the community regardless if you participated in the summer reading programand all ages are invited to participate.
