‘Lookin’ Back’ will perform its Bob Seger tribute this Friday, August 2, in a Concerts at the Courthouse performance. The show is from 7 to 9 p.m. on the lawn of the Historic Howell Courthouse in Downtown Howell.
This performance is the latest in a free series of concerts presented by the Livingston Arts Council throughout the summer, featuring rock, folk and blues entertainment at an outdoor family (and pet)-friendly venue. Pack a blanket or chair, and bring a snack or eat at one of Howell’s many downtown restaurants before enjoying the evening’s entertainment!
This will be the band’s third appearance, but this time it will be as the most popular Bob Seger tribute in North America! If you remember last year’s “Best Of” series, the band attracted record attendance and this year we expect just as many attendees, if not more.
August is Lookin’ Back’s 10th Anniversary month, and their August 2nd performance in Howell will be the bands' 161st performance. The band’s first and most recent free-to-the-public show (July 11th in Monroe) attracted almost 5,800 Bob Seger fans. We suggest people get downtown ASAP before their Concerts at the Courthouse appearance to secure a great spot on the lawn and enjoy a program mixing most of Bob’s standards with several early classics that are certain to surprise all his lifetime fans.
Concerts at the Courthouse runs every Friday night from June 28th – August 23rd. In the event of inclement weather, concerts may be cancelled – listen to WHMI 93.5 for updates or visit the Livingston Arts Council Facebook page. No alcoholic beverages are permitted.
