May 22, 1942 – July 19, 2019 of Ridgetown, Ontario.
Formerly of Fowlerville, MI.
Jackie Mackay passed away at her home surrounded by family on July 19, 2019 after a long, brave battle with cancer. Jackie was born May 22, 1942 in Howell, MI, the daughter of Stirling and Dorothy Douglass. She grew up, lived, and worked as an administrative assistant and bookkeeper in Livingston County most of her life, moving to Ridgetown, Ontario upon her retirement in 1990 where she resided until her death. Jackie enjoyed tending her flower garden, watching the birds at her feeders, cheering MSU Spartan football, and traveling the United States to visit her children, grandchildren, and friends. She also played piano at Village on the Ridge nursing home in Ridgetown for 18 years, volunteering her time and love of music to residents and staff. Jackie is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Mac Tomlin and John Mackay; brother, John Douglass; and niece, Melissa Douglass. She is survived by her children, Peggy (Mike) Crumb, Jill (Pat) Summersgill, and David (Lisa) Tomlin; grandchildren, Tamara (Derek) Stout, Traci (Hector Aguinaga) Peru, Megan Summersgill, Ashly (Ryan) Reed, Morgan Summersgill, Tyler Tomlin, and Jacob Tomlin; four great-grandsons; one great-great-granddaughter; brother, Jerry (Jackie) Douglass; sister-in-law, Debi Douglass; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Celebration of Life was planned for family and close friends only on Friday, July 26, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Fowlerville First United Methodist Church, 201 S. Second Street, Fowlerville, MI. Flowers and donations can be made to Fowlerville First Methodist Church.
