The Jill Jack Band will be performing at the Acoustic Café this Friday, Feb. 15. The Acoustic Café is an annual music series held at the historic Howell Opera House that features outstanding performers from across the country, now celebrating its 11th year.
One of our favorite local musicians, Jill Jack, returns to the Opera House for what promises to be another sell-out performance! Jill has built her fan base with her whimsical, genuine live performances, and has won 38 Detroit Music Awards in every conceivable category that applies to a singer-songwriter.
Jill began her professional career singing backup with well-known Detroit country and rock bands and moved on to fronting her own band and opening for a long list of prominent touring acts, including Bob Seger, Emmylou Harris, Shawn Colvin, Patty Griffin, Chris Issak, and Loretta Lynn. She developed her reputation as a headliner at venues & festivals such as SXSW, the Ann Arbor Folk Festival, The Bluebird Café, The Living Room in NYC, and consistent sell-out shows at the Ark in Ann Arbor. This concert will be, in Jill’s words, “a Valentine’s Day love fest,” sure to please both loyal fans and concertgoers new to her work!
