Fowlerville students participate in ‘Strive for a Safer Drive’ campaign
Fowlerville High School Students Leading Students are proud to announce their participation in the 2016-17 ‘Strive for a Safer Drive (S4SD)’ campaign. This is a teen driving initiative to support reducing serious traffic crashes and injuries among teens. It is presented by Ford Driving Skills for Life (DSFL) and the Michigan Office of Highway Safety Planning (OHSP). All Michigan High Schools were eligible to apply through a grant process
As a selected school, Fowlerville SLS will receive $1,000 to develop and implement a student-led, peer-to-peer traffic safety awareness campaign. Look for student-led activities to occur during January and February. Coming back again this year is the Traffic Safety Blitz, featuring a driving simulator and other hands-on activities. This year we'll also feature Cocoa with the Po Po, featuring guest speaker, Police Liason Officer Jeff Soli.
Students wishing to participate in additional planning and implementation of these great student-led events (and more) should contact the SLS Advisor - Mrs. Pushies in Room E111.
