WEEKLY DROP-IN PROGRAMS
Reading to Bosco: Most Mondays at 4pm
All Ages. Bosco is a Therapy Dog-in-Training. Reading to Bosco improves literacy skills, builds fluency, and reading confidence regardless of ability. Bosco’s “Mom” Shelly has been a part of our library community for over 15 years volunteering her time and her other reading therapy dogs.

Cardio Drumming: Tuesdays at 7pm
Adults. Get your sweat on with a fun workout from instructor Kim Griffes. Please remember to bring water and wear comfy clothes. Spaces are limited to 20 participants on a first-come, first-served basis. *There is a cash fee of $6 for this class if you bring your own equipment. Kit rental is additional $2 fee.

D&D and Magic the Gathering Club: Thursdays 2:30-4pm
6th-12th Graders. Drop in at the Library for a fun after school group where you can learn more about Dungeon & Dragons role-playing game and play Magic the Gathering card game on your own. We provide the Dungeon Master (Ms. Tally), snacks and drinks… you provide the fun!

Cozy Crafting Around the Fireplace: Tuesdays 6pm-7pm
Adult Drop-in. Join us at the library for an opportunity to work on current craft projects and to socialize with other crafters. Bring your knitting, needlepoint, or other current craft project to work on in the library around the cozy fireplace.

Honest Yoga at the Library: Fridays at 9:30am
Adults. Join Erin Wade RYT, owner of Honest Yoga, for Gentle Yoga at the Library. Gentle Yoga is for adults of all ages through modifications and the use of props. Please bring a mat to practice on. *There is a cash fee of $5 fee for this class.

Ann Arbor church holding fish fry dinner from Feb. 28 – March 3
The Old St. Patrick Catholic Church is holding its 42nd Fish Fry Dinner every Friday from Feb. 28 to March 3. Serving takes place 4:30 to 7p.m. Cost is Adults $9.50, Seniors (60+) $8.00, Children (6-11) $6.00 and 5 & under Free. The church is located at 5671 Whitmore Lake Rd., Ann Arbor.
Louis Sommer
Louis “Jerry” Sommer passed away on Monday, January 27, 2020 at the age of 70 with his wife Barbara by his side. Jerry is survived by his wife Barbara, daughter Heather (husband Richard), granddaughter Mariella, sister Pam (husband Nelson), and brother Jim (wife Coleen). Jerry was a devout Christian, loving husband and dedicated father. He was born July 15, 1949 in Howell, Michigan. Jerry lived his whole life in Livingston County where a mutual friend introduced him to his forever love Barbara, with whom he shared nearly 45 years of marriage.
Jerry was a dedicated General Motors employee for over 30 years, working at the G.M. Proving Grounds, but his true passions included farming, using all John Deere equipment, raising cattle, and animals (especially his dogs).
Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of his life will take place at Family Life Wesleyan Church at 3720 Rowley Rd Williamston, MI later this spring. For service details please contact the Family Life Wesleyan Church directly. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Family Life Wesleyan of Williamston or Youth Haven. Arnold N. Wise
Arnold N. Wise went home to be with the Lord, with his wife by his side January 25, 2020. Arnold was born on Sept 10, 1937 in Cohoctah, Michigan.
Preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, one daughter-in-law and one brother.
He is survived by his wife, Louise, of 34 years, two sons, two daughters and their husbands, four stepsons and their wives, twenty-five grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.
Arnold sold, installed and serviced gasoline and diesel dispensing equipment throughout south and central Michigan for 51 years. For 33 of those years he was self-employed as ANW Maintenance. Arnold enjoyed shopping, bowling, hunting and fishing. He loved mowing grass on his John Deere zero turn and plowing snow on his Kawasaki Mule.
Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of his life was held at St Joseph Church, 440 East Washington St, Howell, on Friday, Jan. 31, 2020 at 11:30am. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Special Olympics, or other charity of one’s choice. Arrangements entrusted to Herrmann Funeral Home. Paula E. MacKenzie
Paula E. MacKenzie passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2020, at the age of 81, after a long courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert A. MacKenzie and her parents Waldo “Gibby” Gibson, Pat Webb and Rene Gibson. Paula is survived by her Daughters Sheryl Eastman & Sandra Maynerich. Son-in-laws Todd Eastman & Joseph Maynerich. Grandson Sean Brooks and Granddaughters Constance Eastman & Christina Ludwig. Siblings Kathy (Ed) Gestar, Waldo (Ira) Gibson and Jenny (Brad) Scott.
Paula was born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida and moved to Michigan in December 1974. Paula worked side by side with her husband Robert until he retired from Mac Tools. They moved to Fowlerville just after he retired where she stayed busy in her garden and yard. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Very special thank you to caregivers Paula S, Regina W and Barb H.

Love & Logic Parenting Classes return to Family Impact Wellness Center
Would you like to feel more confident as a parent? Would you like to hear how other parents are dealing with parenting challenges? Would you like to learn how to raise a more responsible child?
Family Impact Centers is excited to bring another session of Parenting the Love & Logic Way to our area. This highly effective 5-week class will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Family Impact Wellness Center (9430 W. Grand River, just west of Fowlerville) beginning on Wednesday, February 26th and ending on Thursday, March 25th. Topics for each week’s session are as follows:
2/26/20 – Putting an End to Arguing, Back Talk and Begging
3/04/20 – Teaching Responsibility Without Losing Their Love
3/11/20 – Setting Limits Without Waging War
3/18/20 – Avoiding Power Struggles
3/25/20 – Guiding Kids to Own and Solve Their Own Problems AND Teaching Kids to Complete Chores Without Reminders
There is no cost for these classes, but registration is requested so that we can have a sufficient number of workbooks available.
