 Leniol L. White

Leniol L. White, who left a lasting impression on everyone he met, passed away peacefully at his home on April 1, 2025. Born to Guy and Flora White in Elkins, West Virginia, on October 13, 1937, Len was a natural-born family leader, the eldest of his five siblings: brothers David, John, Tom, and Jim, and sister L'Reta Albright.

He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, first wife Doris "Mopsy" White, their son, Leniol Jr., and their daughter, Terry.

Len's warm spirit will lovingly surround his wife, Barbara DeLatorre and family; his adoring daughter, Kelly White-Watson; his grandson, Nathan Watson (Jessica); and great-grandchildren, Brinley and Matthew; granddaughter, Morgan Watson, and great-grandsons Andrew and Austin; along with countless nieces, nephews, and limitless friends he gathered throughout his life.

Len was known for his entrepreneurial drive, evident in his long career as an independent State Farm Insurance agent in Westland, MI, where he built his business on a foundation of personal connection and genuine care for his clients and their families. Beyond his professional life, Len was a dedicated spouse, father, and "papa," a loyal founding church member, and an avid outdoorsman, regaling friends and family with his fantastic hunting and fishing stories.

In his leisure time, he traveled the open road with good friends as a hobby motorcyclist, pursued his passion for conservation, and found joy in the natural world by cultivating a thriving garden of which he always shared his bounty, and Len never missed an opportunity to slip a treat to a furry friend! A true friend to many, human and dog alike, Len was full of gratitude, quick-witted, remembered everyone's name, and made everyone he knew feel valued. We will fondly remember his chipper, big personality, kind nature, and generous heart. To all who knew and loved him, his cheerful "cheerio, pip-pip, tally-ho" will echo in our hearts!

A memorial service will be held at Pinckney Community Congregational UCC, 125 E. Unadilla St., Pinckney, MI 48169, on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to Herrmann Funeral Home. Online condolences may be expressed at pjherrmannfuneralhome.com.
