Roger Lee Van Gilder
Roger Lee Van Gilder died on September 23, 2023. He was 72 years old and from Fowlerville, Michigan. He was the oldest child of Frederic and Patricia Van Gilder.
Roger grew up working on the farm. He also drove semi for himself and for the farm for many years. He became a strict vegan as a young adult and always believed everyone should be vegan. He taught everyone a lot about holistic ways, healthy eating, exercise and vegetables.
He loved all sports but especially football. Roger wintered in Florida so he could play ball 365 days a year. He was nicknamed “Y.A.” in high school after quarterback Y.A. Tittle. He would often have multiple TVs lined up so he could view as many games at one time as possible. He had ideas that no one else would have thought of.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Pat Van Gilder. Surviving are his 5 siblings: Linda (Paul), Rick (Terry), Nancy (Mary), Bob and Sue. He also had many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
