Livingston Centre Historic Village to host Fall Fest on Sept. 11

The Livingston Centre Historic Village, inside the Fowlerville Fairgrounds, will be the site of the annual Fall Fest on Saturday, Sept. 11, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

This event will delight the entire family. There will be craft and food vendors, Kids' Games, as well as Live Entertainment. Additional activities will be announced in the coming weeks; watch the Fowlerville News & Views for more information.

The Model Train will be on display inside the Pere Marquette Depot, which dates to 1872. The depot was moved from its Howell site near Michigan Avenue, south of Grand River Road in 1996. It is the most recent addition to the Historic Village. The original buildings which stated the Village came in 1987; the barn and silo, which date to the 1880's, are regularly used for agriculture displays during Fair Week.

The Fall Fest benefits the care and restoration of the historic buildings, all of which are found inside the Village. Tours will be available at all 8 buildings, some will be self-guided while other structures will have docents who can share the stories of these artifacts of Livingston County.

Volunteers are still needed to assist in many different roles. Please consider helping to make this day a success. For more information, call Matt D. at 517-294-6710.
