 Daniel Allan Mayhew

Daniel Allan Mayhew, 64, from Fowlerville, MI passed away on June 2, 2021, at Henry Ford Hospital. Dan was born on September 18, 1956, to George and Shirley Mayhew of Dearborn, Michigan. Dan is survived by his three children, Corey Mayhew, Lesley Tefft and Charles Mayhew. He has six grandchildren, Calvin, Lucas, Blake, Troy, Riley, and Jaxon. Also, he had two older sisters, Phyllis and Linda, and a younger brother, James.

Dan had a strong work ethic which he passed down to his children. He took great pride in his work, having owned Mayhew’s Tree Farm, a family-owned business. In addition to Mayhew’s Tree Farm, Dan was also the proprietor of other businesses which include a building company, Mayhew’s Services Inc. and rental properties.

Daniel had an active ongoing role in the Livingston County community. His community involvement included continued involvement with the First Presbyterian Church in Howell, serving as Rotary President at one time, a sponsor for Christmas in the Village, along with a wide range of other community events and activities.

He had many passions and hobbies in life. Some of his hobbies included experiencing nature, guns, scuba diving, golfing, among other things. Dan cherished spending time with his grandchildren in his later years. Outside of his family, Daniel found great joy partaking in Harley Davidson trips with his friends. Dan was an avid traveler and had vacationed in several countries around the world. He enjoyed spending summers at his other home at Hubbard Lake with his children and family. Dan had an outgoing personality which included his great sense of humor. He loved to laugh, and this was witnessed by all who knew him.

A general visitation took place at the First Presbyterian Church in Howell on June 8, 2021 at 11:00am and that was followed by the service at 12:00pm. Arrangements were entrusted to Herrmann Funeral Home. Online condolences may be expressed at pjherrmannfuneralhome.com
