Williamston Area Senior Center to begin re-opening
Because of the Covid-19 emergency, the Williamston Area Senior Center has been closed since March 17. We are proud to announce that the Senior Center will be taking steps to slowly re-open the Center for services to our area seniors. Please check our website williamstonseniorctr.com or our Facebook for specific announcements of activities as we will begin to resume our normal activities.
Our first activity will be a Senior Picnic to be held on Tuesday, July 14, at McCormick Park from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Lunch will be provided consisting of hot dogs, chips, bottle water and dessert, starting at noon. Please bring a lawn chair and get re-acquainted with your fellow seniors. Reservations are a must! Please call 517-655-5173 and leave a voice message. Please call before July 10th to make your reservation. Covid-19 Guidelines will be Enforced – wearing proper face covering, social distancing. Hand sanitizer and disinfectant will be provided on the premises.
Our second re-opening activity will be chair exercise at the Center either one or two days a week depending on the demand. These activities will be limited to 10 seniors at a time. Specifics will be announced in the very near future.
Notice: Because of the Covid-19 emergency the Senior Citizen field trip scheduled for Turkeyville, on Friday July 24, has been cancelled.
