Evelyn Lunsted
Evelyn Lunsted, age 91 of East Lansing, passed away on January 6, 2018. Evelyn was born May 13, 1926 in Chicago, IL to Fred and Thora (Mortensen) Jensen. She grew up in White Cloud, MI. She and her husband, Don, raised their family on their dairy farm in Webberville MI. Evelyn was a huge fan of U of M and the Detroit Tigers. I think she actually thought if she yelled at the TV loud enough, they would hear her. Evelyn enjoyed all types of dancing, loved singing, playing cards and was a GREAT COOK. She loved spending time with her family and many friends at the cottage at Little White Fish Lake. Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband, Donald T. Lunsted; son, Donald P. Lunsted; granddaughter, Lisa Dawn Borchard and grandson, Kirt Donald Weaver.
Surviving are two daughters, Diane Hoag and Linda (David) Walker; son, Ronald (Clare) Lunsted; seven grandchildren, Chris (Jodie) Hoag, Kara (Rob) Molloy, Tracy Harrison, Valerie Lunsted, Shayna Lunsted, Erin Lunsted and Andrea (Tyler) Groskopl; five great-grandchildren, Alysse (Mark) Crum, Allie Hoag, Drew Schultheis, Caleb (Ashley) Borchard and Lauren Borchard. She is also survived by four great-great grandchildren, Orion Borchard, Brady, Blake and Brogan Crum.
A memorial service was held Thursday, January 11, 2018, 11 a.m., Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 East Grand River Avenue, East Lansing.
