Fowlerville Area Historic Society making plans for upcoming Fall Fest
The Fowlerville Area Historic Society is deep into the planning of the 2026 Fall Fest. This annual event benefits the Livingston Centre Historic Village. There is still room for vendors and sponsors to apply. Volunteers are needed in most areas as well. Use the QR code for further information. The monthly meeting will be at 6:00 p.m. at the Fowlerville Library on Thursday, Sept. 3. The agenda will include elements of the Fall Fest that need final planning. The committee is still accepting vendors and sponsors. The monthly meeting of the LCHV will follow at 7:00 p.m.
In the midst of all the activities, members are taking the opportunity to remember someone very dedicated to the Historic Village. Both committees were saddened to learn of the loss of a long time member of the Livingston Centre Historic Society, Ms. Cindy Denby. The committees extend sincere condolences to Cindy's family and friends. The family is asking for donations to the LCHV in lieu of flowers. All committee members are most grateful. Her dedication and devotion to area history will remain an inspiration to all area residents for years to come. The result of her years of hard work will remain a tangible legacy to future generations.
Both the committees of the FAHS and the LCHV are partnering with the Open Class Department of the Fowlerville Family Fair. They will together host a fundraising Craft Swap at the Fowlerville Fall Fest on Saturday, Sept. 12.
Please consider donating Supplies for all kinds of arts & crafts, sewing items, painting, woodworking, jewelry-making, needlework, photography, artificial flower arranging, and any other craft supplies you may have. All guests will be allowed to purchase items for a set price to benefit Open Class Competition of 2027. Donations may be left at Alyssum Patch Quilt Shop / 213 E. Grand River Rd., Howell or Hometown Bicycles, Brighton, until Sept. 3.
