   A Chicken and Biscuit Supper will be served at the Plainfield United Methodist Church, 17845 M-36, north of Gregory on Saturday, April 8, starting at 5 pm. Free will donation. Take outs available. All are welcome.

Raymond G. Seeley

   Raymond (Buzz) G. Seeley, Jr., age 67, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, March 12. Raymond was born on Nov. 8, 1949. He attended Fowlerville Community Schools, graduating in 1968.
     He will be missed by his wife of 40 years, Janet; his daughter, Valerie (Mark) Keach; grandson, Emerson; his mother, Dorothy; his twin sisters, Karen (Ed) Grab and Kathy Byrnes; and brother, John.  Ray graduated from MSU and had a career as a systems software programmer.  A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Hugo of the Hills Chapel in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan on Saturday, March 25 at 11 AM.

Linda Lee Hanna

    Linda Lee Hanna, age 71, died on March 10, 1945. She was born July 29, 1945. Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Hanna, and sister, Carolyn Alchin, brother, Danny Hall, father, George Hall, mother, Francis (Hall) Higdon, and step-father, George Higdon.
   She is survived by her three sons: Mathew, Scott, and Tracy Hanna, granddaughter, Lorren Hanna, and three step-sisters.
   Cremation has already taken place. There is a Memorial Service being held today, Sunday, March 26, from 1-4 p.m. at the VFW Hall in Fowlerville.

Carl (Joe) Perroud

    Carl Joseph (Joe) Perroud, age 74 of Fowlerville, MI. passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017. Joe was born November 2, 1942 to Joseph G. Perroud and Carla E. (Rife) Perroud in Lansing, MI. He married Linda Lou (McKay) Perroud, on January 26, 1963 in Detroit, and was married for 54 years. Joe was a devoted husband and father, who found great joy in his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joe retired as a master electrician from GM and Chrysler and enjoyed spending time traveling, playing the guitar and listening to music, playing pickle ball, and visiting with family and friends.
    In his early years, Joe enjoyed playing sports especially football in which he excelled as a running back. As a young man living in the country, he also enjoyed hunting and fishing and just being outdoors. He also enjoyed camping with his family and relatives at Black Lake and Ludington State Park. Joe was always striving to be the best husband, father, and friend by being introspective and reading self-help books. He also had a strong spirit as was evidenced by his determination to survive an electrocution and a heart attack.      In his middle and golden years, Joe enjoyed family reunions and holidays in which he could spend time with his relatives, children and grandchildren . He always made an effort to attend concerts, sports, and other events that his loved ones participated in. In the last few years of his illustrious life, Joe could be found in downtown Fowlerville most mornings talking with his friends at the local restaurants. He had so many good friends and memories from his childhood that he lived in Fowlerville for the greater part of his life. He had a passion for pickle ball which kept him active and made him many more friends. When walking became difficult for him, he loved getting on his tractor or cutting the grass on his riding lawn mower. He was the captain of his own ship and will forever be known for his captain hats. He has sailed to a better place and will truly be missed. ­
    Joe is survived by his wife Linda Perroud and his children: Todd Perroud and his wife Linda (Elmore), Erick Perroud, Tammy (Prebble) and her husband Mike. Timothy Perroud and Mandy (Dewey), and grandchildren: Ashley Gibson and husband Brandon, Amber Perroud, Kayla Perroud, Josiah Perroud, Sarah and Nicole Prebble, Dayton and Juett Perroud, & Ty Perroud and great grandchildren: Ryder and Blake (Gibson), sisters: Nadine and (Bob) Garbin, Elaine and (Pete) Dalessandro, and brother: Jimmy and (Suzann) Perroud. He was preceded in death by his sisters: Betty Baltrus, Joyce Charboneau, Judy Robertson, and brother: Daniel Perroud. 
    A memorial service and fellowship luncheon was held at the Fowlerville Church of the Nazarene on Saturday, March 25, where family and friends shared stories and celebrated

Livingston Fine Art Association presenting The HeART of Home Show 
    The Livingston Fine Art Association presents The HeART of Home Fine Art Show during the Livingston Home and Garden Show. 
   The art show will be in the Howell High School Commons, 1200 W. Grand River.  Hours are: Friday, April 7 from 5 pm- 8pm   Saturday, April 8 from 9 am-6pm,  Sunday, April 9 from 11 am-4pm.  There is no admission charge for the show.
    About thirty local artists will be showing their works, which will be for sale. Most mediums will be represented.

Livingston Reads 2017: Jaws-- March 1st-April 30th
Livingston Reads is a “One Book, One Community” project offered by the six Livingston County libraries (Brighton, Cromaine, Fowlerville, Hamburg, Howell, and Pinckney), and is a program to encourage residents to read for enjoyment and to create community through reading.

Reading with Spring Babies-- Wednesday, April 19th at 5:30-6:30pm
Preschool-Adults. Welcome spring to the Fowlerville District Library. Indoors, we will read to small animals like bunnies and chicks. Outdoors, we will visit with larger farm animals like goats and alpacas. Animals are provided by Chamberlin Pony Rides and Mobile Petting Zoo. *Participation is limited. Register in person to attend. SuperWhoLock Fandom Party-- Friday, April 21st at 5-8pm
Teens 6th-12th grades. Whether you're already a fan of Supernatural, Doctor Who, or Sherlock, or just want to find out why everyone else is so obsessed with these outlandish shows, this is your chance to hang out with other fans, learn what it's all about, and bask in all of your collective geekery. We will watch the first episode of each show, play trivia games, and eat pizza and popcorn (or fish fingers and custard, we haven't really decided yet). *Registration is required and includes a 2016-2017 signed program permission form. Through the Eyes of Rose: Author Talk with John Kozak--Thursday, April 27th at 7pm
Adults. Meet Michigan author John Kozak as he shares his mother’s story. Through the Eyes of Rose tells the story of how Rose Kozak defied the Czechoslovakian Communists in 1949 and escaped with her children through the Bohemian Forest to freedom. John Kozak was only seven when he escaped with his mother and older sister from communist rule. Books will be available for purchase and signing. Light refreshment will be served. *Register in person to attend. Registration begins April 6th and includes a refundable $5 cash deposit.Copies of Kozak’s book “Through the Eyes of Rose” will be given at registration while supplies last on a first-come first-served basis.

Fowlerville High making plans for upcoming Feast of the Arts 
    Fowlerville High School is making plans for the annual Fest of the Arts. The event will take place on Tuesday, April 4, from 5:30 - 8 pm at the high school.
   Come see all the fantastic art on the walls from K-12th grade students. The Jazz Band will play at 7 pm, along with the new High School Choir . Come watch the high school drama presentations and grab a bowl of Ice Cream for $2. K- 5th students may also attend Artists Workshops. For a 5 fee, students can create four different art projects. The monies raised will go toward an Art Scholarship and the Family Impact Center. Some activities are free and some cost a small amount. Come support the Arts in Fowlerville!
