Williamston Memorial Lutheran to hold Nativity Scene on Saturday, Dec. 10
    Members of Memorial Ev. Lutheran Church in Williamston invite you to our Live Nativity. Travel back in time and imagine the small town of Bethlehem 2,000 years ago. Roman soldiers are at the city gate and walking the street of the town. They will register your family for the census ordered by Caesar Augustus.  
    As you drive through or walk the crowded and narrow street, you will see the bustling marketplace and the vendors busy in their shops. The townspeople are gathered by fires and talking about what has happened. In a stable there is a family with their newborn child. 
    Shepherds are watching their flocks beyond the town. They talk in excited yet hushed voices about seeing angels, and how the angels spoke of the very special baby, our Savior, who’s just been born. 
    Scripture will be read and songs will be sung. Even though we’ve set the stage, this isn’t a play. You will be witnessing a re-creation of the night our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was born and the miracle of Christmas as it all began. 
    Enjoy the visit but don’t plan to stay overnight. The inn and town are full!

St. Agnes Catholic Church choirs to present Christmas Cantata on Dec. 10
   The St. Agnes Catholic Church choirs will present the Christmas Cantata “Let There Be Christmas” on Saturday, Dec. 10, at 7 p.m. at the church. The Cantata was written by Joseph Martin.
   Using carols, narration, and congregational singing, this service is a joyous celebration of hope and peace for the Christmas season. From jubilant songs of praise to reflective carols of peace, it is filled with moments to energize the spirit of the season in our lives.
  The Cantata will feature the Adult Choir and the Bell Choir, under the direction of Elaine Yanz, and the Children’s Choir, under the direction of Jennifer Peters.
  The St. Agnes family and the rest of the community are invited to come and support this beautiful service. There is no admission charge for the concert; however, a free will offering will be taken.

Sherry Lynn Edmunson (Beaubien)

    Sherry Lynn Edmunson (Beaubien), age 55 of Fowlerville, MI passed away on Monday, November 14, 2016  peacefully in her home surrounded by family. She fought a long battle with breast cancer. She was born July 15, 1961 in Howell, Michigan. She was the daughter of Judy Wilkinson and Lloyd Beaubien. Beloved wife to Charles (“Corky) Edmunson. Mother to Dustin (Annie), Courtney Clapper (Ron), Zack (Ashley), and Shaylynn. Grandmother of Natalie, Kaylee, and another grandchild on the way. 
    Sherry loved camping, shopping, traveling, and visiting the beach. She was a great friend, coach, and Girl Scout leader. She was the best Nana to Natalie and Kaylee Clapper. She will be missed by many. The family is holding a memorial on Saturday, December 17 from 2-6 at Grace Lutheran Church in Howell. If you have any questions, please call 517-223-0064.

Enos E. Carl

   Enos E. Carl, 80 from Howell MI passed away on November 17, 2016. He was born on December 4, 1935 in Osseo MI to Paul and Janet Carl before moving to Mason. He is survived by his 6 children. Cathy (Larry)Perrin of Lancaster, SC, Sherry (Larry) Hills of Grant, MI, David (Laura) of Fowlerville, Mike (Nicole) of Fowlerville Thomas (Toni) of Fowlerville, Joseph (Heather) of Hartland, girlfriend Denise Chrzanowski of Howell, his sister Clarabell (Lawrence) Burgess of Mason, and his former wife Jean Carl of Fowlerville. He also leaves behind 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and his faithful companion Schotz. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as brothers George, Vern, Lee, William, and Alex. 
    He worked for Consumers Power for 40 years, and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was a lifetime member of the Livingston County Conservation Club. 
    Visitation was held at Herrmann Funeral Home in Fowlerville from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm on Monday November 21. Funeral services were held on Tuesday November 22 at 10am. Pjherrmannfuneralhome.com

Livingston Centre Historic Society to host booth at Flooring Finesse
   The Livingston Centre Historic Society will host a booth at the annual "Christmas in the 'Ville" celebration on Saturday, Dec. 3 beginning at 3:00 p.m. For your holiday preparations, members will have an assortment of Christmas treats, holiday decorations, vintage gifts, and train accessories for sale; all proceeds benefit the Historic Village at the Fowlerville Fairgrounds. Look for committee members inside Flooring Finesse, Suite 103 of 141 S. Grand Ave. to find out about the on-going restoration as well as all the exciting plans for the coming year

Friends of Webberville Library holding Mittens, Gloves, Hats, & Scarves Drive
    The Friends of the Webberville Library is sponsoring their annual Children's Mittens, Gloves, Hats and Scarves Drive from November 28 through December 14. All donations will be given to the Webberville Area Food and Clothing Bank.
   You may bring your new items to the library during the following times: Monday 1 to 6 p.m., Tuesday or Thursday 2 to 8 p.m., Wednesday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday 2 to 6 p.m. or Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
    Your donations will help some Webberville area children stay warm through this winter.
