Visitors to the Webberville Library can win a box of candy by coming to the Library and completing an entry for a drawing. Several winners will be selected for this drawing sponsored by Friends of the Webberville Library.
Entries will be accepted from Thursday, February 2 until Monday, February13 at 5:00 p.m. One entry per visit. Please enter and have a happy Valentine’s Day.

Webberville Athletic Boosters meeting on Feb. 1 at Spartan Center room
Webberville Athletic Boosters will be meeting Wednesday, February 1 at 6:30 pm in the Spartan Center Community Room. All are welcome to attend. We are always looking for new members, volunteers and ideas for fund raising. Please consider attending to help support our student-athletes. After the Athletic booster meeting, there will be a meeting for the Webberville Memorial Day Run. We are searching for volunteers to help with this run.

Vicki Lynn Garrett
Vicki Lynn Garrett, age 58, of Fowlerville, formerly of Brighton, passed away Friday, January 20, 2017. She was born March 25, 1958 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the daughter of Bruce and Jan (Metternick) Place. Beloved wife of Steve Garrett whom she married on June 29, 1979 in Livonia. Dear mother of Phillip E. (Leeanne) Garrett of Dublin, Ohio, Andrew J. (Jamie) Garrett of Binghamton, New York, and Paul S. (Rebecca) Garrett of Howell. Proud grandmother of Levi and Declan. She is also survived by her mother, Jan Place of Howell; brothers, David (Melissa) Place of Novi, Greg Place and sister Debi (Garland Borland) Place of Milford; several nieces and nephews. Vicki was a 1979 graduate of Novi High School. She graduated from Ferris State College in 1979 in Dental Hygiene. She was a member of the Tin Can Tourist Club and Harley Owners Group “HOG”. She enjoyed quilting and gardening and was a member of Mason Road Bible Church.
Visitation took place on Thursday January 26, 2017 from 2-8 p.m. with funeral services held on Friday January 27, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at MacDonald’s Funeral Home, Howell. Interment followed in Howell Memorial Cemetery, Howell. Memorial contributions may be made to Mason Road Bible Church in Vicki’s memory, 9981 Mason Rd. Fowlerville, MI 48836. Leland ‘Lee’ Alfred McPherson
Leland “Lee” Alfred McPherson, age 52, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2017. Lee was born September 9, 1964 , the son of Leland and Norma (Phillips) McPherson. Lee was the owner of Lee’s Manufactured Home Repair of Fowlerville.
He is survived by children: Heather Ziegman, Holly Campbell, Scott McPherson, girlfriend Marion Janecke; sisters: Connie (Fred) Smith, Cindy McPherson, Lisa Beckley; and grandchildren: Joseph, Elijah, Scarlett, Greyson, Mason, and Alexandra.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Leland and Norma, sisters: Corrine and Nancy, and brother: Danny.
A memorial was held at Herrmann Funeral Home in Fowlerville, Michigan on Monday, January 23, 2017 with visitation taking place from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM and services beginning at Noon. pjherrmannfuneralhome.com
Charles Lavern Reason
Charles Lavern Reason, age 65 of Fowlerville, died on Jan. 10, 2017. Lavern was born in Howell to Henry and Marion (Huff) Reason on July 18, 1951. He lived most of his life in the Fowlerville area and graduated from Fowlerville High School in 1969. He and his family owned and operated the Reasondale Dairy Farm for many years. He also worked at Key Plastics LLC in Howell. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by two brothers: Lawrence (Sandra) Reason of Fowlerville and Roger (Linda) Reason of Grand Rapids and a sister: Patricia (Francis) Palmerton of Fowlerville. He is also survived by nephews: Roger Reason, Jr., James Reason, Lawrence Reason, Jr., and William Palmerton, and nieces: Jennifer Palmerton Markle, Lisa Reason Ogden, and Sandra Reason Bleile. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Lavern loved anything to do with dairy cattle, showed cattle during his years in 4-H and for many years after that. He never missed the Fowlerville Fair.
The funeral service was held at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Fowlerville on Wednesday, Jan. 25. Burial took place at the Sanford Cemetery.

Families meeting eligibility guidelines have access to educational, medical, and other community resources. Children of all abilities are encouraged to apply.
