 Henry Grady Dolan Jr.

Henry Grady Dolan Jr., age 78 of Fowlerville, MI, passed away on November 27, 2021.

The funeral service was held on Wednesday, Dec. 1, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church with burial following at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation took place on Tuesday between 4:00 and 8:00 pm at Herrmann Funeral Home, with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m.

Henry was born in Harper Woods MI on December 16, 1942, the son of Henry Grady Dolan Sr. and Rose (Kolp) Dolan. He graduated from South Lyon High School in 1961 and married Barbara (Dickson) Dolan on November 17, 1962.

He was strong in his faith and a proud Knights of Columbus Council 8605 member.

Henry is survived by his son-in law Kurt Christenson and daughters Judi Dolan and Carol (Nelson) Root, along with his grandchildren Zak Richardson, Jeremy (Maarja) Christenson, Jenna Christenson, Brett Kennedy, Heather Ziegman and Holly (Greg) Campbell and 7 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Dolan and daughter Jean Christenson.

Laura Louise Fryer

Laura Louise Fryer, age 67, of Fowlerville, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021 after a brief illness. She was born January 15, 1954 in Detroit, the daughter of Raymond Francis and Betty (Robinson) Marsden.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Harold E. Fryer, whom she married on December 27, 1975 in Howell. Mother of Andrea Fryer of Florida, and grandmother of Kya Fryer. Also survived by her sisters Joan (David) Hawes, Nina Marsden and several nieces and nephews.

Laura enjoyed theater and arts programs, spending time on the water and going boating.

 Robert Lyle Stanley

Robert Lyle Stanley, age 82, of Whittemore, Michigan and formerly a resident of Webberville, Michigan, died on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Ascension St. Joseph Hospital in Tawas City, Michigan.

He was born the son of James and Vernie (Bergman) on November 12, 1939 in Terre Haute, Indiana. Robert proudly served in the United States Air Force as an Aircraft Mechanic. Robert worked for the Department of Transportation for the State of Michigan and retired after 30 years. He enjoyed spending time outside fishing and especially looked forward to the hunting season.

Robert is survived by his children: Kevin Stanley, Kim (Jason) Gaston and James Stanley, eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ken Stanley.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and Robert will be laid to rest at the Great Lakes Nation Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. Condolences may be shared at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com

 Webberville to celebrate Christmas with tree lighting, parade & Santa at fire hall

Webberville is celebrating Christmas this coming Saturday, Dec. 11.

The Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Village Park on Grand River starts things off at 6:30 p.m., followed by a Light Parade that will go through the Downtown from the Park to the Leroy Township Fire Hall—NIESA Station 62.

The Leroy Firefighters Association is hosting an open house at the fire hall from 7 to 9 p.m. Santa Claus will be present at that time, with goodie bags passed out to the children. Cookies and donuts will be served (donated by D & W Fresh Market), and the Webberville High School Choir will be singing carols.

‘Stuff the Bus’ for the food bank will be downtown during the Tree Lighting, accepting food and toy donations for local families. Anyone interested in placing an entry in the parade should contact the village office 517 521-3984.

 Reindeer visits planned at area branches of Capital Area District Libraries
