Friends of Webberville Library holding Mittens, Gloves, Hats, & Scarves Drive
The Friends of the Webberville Library is sponsoring their annual Children's Mittens, Gloves, Hats and Scarves Drive from November 28 through December 14. All donations will be given to the Webberville Area Food and Clothing Bank.
You may bring your new items to the library during the following times: Monday 1 to 6 p.m., Tuesday or Thursday 2 to 8 p.m., Wednesday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday 2 to 6 p.m. or Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Your donations will help some Webberville area children stay warm through this winter.

All Ages. We are collecting toys for children. Please bring your new unwrapped toy to donate and drop it in our Toys for Tots box.
Fred is a mature Golden Retriever certified therapy dog. Fred’s ‘mom’, Shelly, has been volunteering her dogs’ services at the library for many years. Reading to Fred improves literacy skills, builds fluency, and raises reading confidence regardless of ability. *Drop-in event.
Teens 6th-12th Grades. Drop in to the program room to hang out and watch anime. Stop by to watch shows like Avatar the Last Airbender, Naruto, Fairy Tail, Pokémon, and more! All shows have a rating of TV-PG or lower. *Drop-in program.
Adults. Author talk with Marion Cornett on her latest book “Tilly Loves Johnny”. Light refreshments will be served. For a synopsis of “Tilly Loves Johnny” check out the Adult Events page on our website at www.fowlervillelibrary.org. *Register in person to attend. Registration begins November 17th and includes a refundable $5 cash deposit.
Teens 6th-12th Grades. Join us to play some retro board games and video games. Pizza, pop, and snacks will be served. *Registration is required and includes a 2016-2017 signed Program Permission Form. Registration begins November 18th. Register by December 7th to attend.
All Ages. Welcome Rooftop Landings to the Fowlerville District Library. Indoors, we will read and have a parent-child craft station. Outdoors, we will visit and pet reindeer. Please dress for the weather. *Participation is limited. Register in person to attend. Registration begins November 30th.
Adults. Paint and Pour will lead the class in painting a Seasonal Mitt. Have fun discovering your inner-artist as you are guided in creating a painting perfect for the holiday season. Light refreshments will be served. *Register in person to attend. Registration begins December 1st and includes a refundable $5 cash deposit.

ANNOUNCING: A New Circulation System! For your convenience, the library is transitioning to a new circulation system. The library will be closed the morning of Monday, November 28th while the new system is installed. The library will reopen at 12:30pm the same day. The Little Free Library is available for your reading needs during this time and any materials to be returned can be placed in the blue drop box. Thank you for your patience while these improvements are made. We look forward to serving you better with the new system.

HURRY! HURRY! Fowlerville High School is collecting winter gear! Please donate any gently used coats, snow pants, hats, gloves, and scarves. You are welcome to drop them off at any time to the student/athletic entrance of the high school by December 2nd! Thank you for helping to spread the warmth.
All of this gear will be given away at the Holiday Shopping Event on Tuesday, December 13th from 4 to 8 p.m. MARK YOUR CALENDARS! You will not want to miss this! Vendors and craftsmen are signing up now! We will have a bounce house, an inflatable obstacle course, face painting, kids crafts, a free raffle, and all of the winter gear to give away!
Also, the Livingston County Gymnastics Team will be coming with a tumble track, low beams and mats. Gymnasts from their organization will demonstrate their talents and help kids with theirs! Make it a point to celebrate the holidays with friends, family and FHS!

Do you like to play Euchre? The Dansville Community Center at 1317 Mason Street in Dansville will be having Euchre Night on Saturday, December 3 and 17 starting at 7pm. A donation of $5 per person is asked to help pay for expenses for the night. Prizes for high score, low score, and most lone hands will be awarded. Beginners are welcome. Fowlerville to celebrate ‘Christmas in the Ville’ this Saturday
All sorts of activities are planned this Saturday, Dec. 3, when Fowlerville once again celebrates ‘Christmas in the Ville’. Those activities, organized by the Fowlerville Business Association, range from hot air balloons to a pet parade to the firemen’s chili dinner and are highlighted by the arrival of Santa Claus, the parade through the downtown, and the lighting of the town’s holiday tree.
The Downtown will be closed to traffic on Grand River and North & South Grand Avenue from 2 to 8 p.m.
All sorts of activities are planned this Saturday, Dec. 3, when Fowlerville once again celebrates ‘Christmas in the Ville’. Help The Salvation Army create memories this holiday season
For most, early November is the start of their holiday season; Thoughts of family gatherings to include turkey and cranberry sauce, shopping followed by gift wrapping and creating memories to last a life time.
At The Salvation Army we also begin thinking of turkey and cranberry sauce, shopping and gift wrapping to begin the holiday season. However at The Salvation Army, the beginning of November also includes Red Kettles and the glorious sound of ringing bells all to create memories of hope and joy for struggling families in Livingston County. Each year The Salvation Army of Livingston County rings bells outside of Walmart and Kroger, VG’s and Walgreens and many other locations. As shoppers go in and out of the stores, they pass the sounds of laughter from children of all ages, adults with smiling faces and welcoming greetings and the feeling of love and hope that each kettle brings.
The Salvation Army cannot do it alone and are asking for your help. With a little over 5400 hours of bell ringing still remaining this November and December, we are asking you to add The Salvation Army Bell Ringing to your holiday “to do” list. Help create memories that will last a life time, not only for you and your family, but for others that need a little hope this year.
Anyone interested in volunteering to bell ring and not able to stop in may sign up online, www.RegistertoRing.com. Livingston Center Historic Society to host booth at Christmas in the ‘Ville
The Livingston Center Historic Society will host a booth at the annual "Christmas in the 'Ville" celebration on Saturday, Dec. 3 beginning at 3:00 p.m. The booth will be at Flooring Finesse. Members will have an assortment of holiday decorations, vintage gifts, and train accessories for sale; all proceeds benefit the Historic Village on the grounds of the Fowlerville Family Fair. Look for them to start your holiday shopping, and to find out about the on-going restoration as well as all the exciting plans for the coming year.
