Craig James Simon
Craig James Simon, 45, died November 25, 2018 at his home in Fowlerville, MI. Craig was born March 12, 1973 to Mark and Linda Simon at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, MI. He was a graduate of DeWitt High School (1991) and Western Michigan University (1995). He worked as a senior scientist for ECT, Inc. in Lansing.
He is survived by son Adam (15), daughter Brooke (13), their mother Chris, his parents, his brother Scott (Elizabeth) and niece Veronica.
Craig loved his children dearly and was a devoted son and brother. He played sports throughout his life and coached youth baseball for several years in Fowlerville. He was also an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing of all types across the U.S. His family will miss him greatly as will his many friends in the Fowlerville and DeWitt communities.
The family received visitors at Herrmann Funeral Home in Fowlerville on Wednesday, November 28, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Funeral services were be held at 2|42 Community Church in Okemos on Thursday, November 29, at 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Fowlerville Junior Baseball Association, the American Diabetes Association or Trout Unlimited of Michigan. June M. Browning Goss
June M. Browning Goss, age 90, passed away at Medilodge of Howell on November 24, 2018. She was born June 19, 2018 in Marion, Ohio to Clifford M. and Flossie Pickerel. She was a bus driver for Fowlerville Community Schools and Hartland Schools for over 35 years. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Harold H. Browning and 2nd husband, Clarence G. Goss; her parents and two brothers; Robert and James Pickerel.
June loved to crochet kitchen towels and sell them to the nursing staff and play bingo with the residents of Medilodge.
She is survived by her five children: Beverly (Bernie) Tennes of Charlotte, Mi; Sharon Browning of Grand Rapids, Mi; Linda (Ron) Smith of Howell, Mi.; Harold H. (Linda) Browning of Howell, Mi; and Gary Browning of Fowlerville, Mi.
A memorial service was being held for June on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Herrmann Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place and a private internment will be in Sanford Cemetery, Howell, Mi. Please leave the family a condolence at pjherrmannfuneralhome.com

Due to the Christmas Holiday, the Cardio Drumming class will not be meeting Tuesday, December 25th. Williamston Area Senior Center to host 3nd Annual Charity Chili Challenge
The 3rd Annual Charity Chili Challenge will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 12, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Old Nation Brewing 1500 W. Grand River, Williamston. Old Nation Brewing was the winner of the Center’s first two Chili Challenges, so now the competition is between their five great cooks. Cost: $8 for one large bowl or $11 for a flight of 5 small bowls. Please come and support your Williamston Area Senior Center.
Camilla Fritts, owner of the Old Nation Brewing Company, stated, “I am very proud to host the 3rd Annual Charity Chili Challenge for the Williamston Area Senior Center. We know that the Center provides a lot for the Williamston seniors and this is our way of supporting the Center. In this time of giving, the Senior Center is so appreciative to receive support from our area businesses.”

Livingston Arts Council to present holiday concert at Howell Opera House
The Livingston Arts Council is presenting a Holiday Concert featuring Olivia Millerschin on Saturday, Dec. 7, at The Howell Opera House. Doors open at 7 p.m., with the concert starting at 7:30 p.m.
At just 22 years old, Michigan native Olivia Millerschin has earned two John Lennon Songwriting Awards, was a quarter finalist on America’s Got Talent, won the Great American Song Contest, and has music placed in national and international film and TV. In 2017 alone she played more than 250 shows spanning from Los Angeles to London.
A talented multi-instrumentalist, she plays the ukulele, piano and guitar in addition to singing and songwriting. Olivia has toured internationally with Sawyer Fredericks, Howie Day, Tyler Hilton, Ryan Cabrera and Orla Gartland, and has performed at nearly 100 US colleges and a myriad of venues.
Olivia returns to the Howell Opera House this Saturday for a special holiday show that includes a few of her own original tunes. There will be light concessions available for purchase as well as a cash bar. Tickets are $10 in advance and can be purchased by phone at 517-540-0065 or online at www.howelloperahouse.com. If any tickets remain the day of the concert, they will be sold for $15 at the door.

The Breathers’ Club is a community service support group for patients affected by heart and breathing (cardiopulmonary) diseases and their caregivers, family and friends. Everyone interested in learning how to live a better, fuller life or how to care for those with these conditions is encouraged and welcome to attend.
Meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of the month at noon (12:00 p.m.) on the 1st Floor: Community Room of St. Joseph Livingston Hospital in Howell. An informational speaker and pertinent topic are featured each month.Our next Breathers Club is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 11, at noon.Our Pulmonary Rehabilitation Therapist is available to assist andanswer questions.
