Fowlerville Fair Youth Show Registration opens, Open Class Registration to follow

Fair week is less than two months away, which means the time you’ve spent poring over Class lists, imagining, planning, researching,creating and growing is rapidly coming to a close. It’s time to commit! But to what?
Fowlerville Family Fair offers a world of amazing opportunities to showcase your skills and compete for ribbons and prizes, including two Fair favorites – Youth Show and Open Class.Let’s have a closer look at each:
YOUTH SHOW (REGISTER JUNE1ST – 15TH): Youth Show competition celebrates leadership, sportsmanship, professionalism, skill-building, and creativity in Livingston County’syouth. Participation requires membership in 4-H, Future Farmers of America (FFA), or the Junior Fowlerville Agricultural Society. This program includes competitive Classes in animal husbandry and showmanship, the sciences, presentation, arts and crafts, and so much more, and live judging offers an incredible, hands-on educational experience. Youth Show entrants also enjoy the privilege of entering projects in Fowlerville Fair’s Still Exhibit Auction, where the community doubles down on supporting our local youtht hrough purchases.
Youth Show registration runs June 1 to June 15 at midnight. You’ll find the Youth Show entry book, registration (online only), and helpful resources at www.fowlervillefamilyfair.com/fair/youth-show/.
OPEN CLASS COMPETITION (REGISTER JUNE 16TH – JULY 1ST): Open Class competition is open to all Michigan residents, ages 5 to 105, with NO affiliation or membership requirements. Youth Show competitors may also submit separate entries to Open Class!
Open Class Exhibitors compete for ribbons and cash prizes in more than 1,500 Classes that range from arts and crafts, baking, canning, sewing and growing, to antiques, livestock, inventing, digital arts, photography, and the list goes on. This includes an entire class series for Individuals with Disabilities, and is also where you’ll find the Homemaker of the Year, Citizen of the Year, and Fair Queen applications.
It’s an exciting time to enter Open Class – scores of new Classes, options for Professionals, a beautifully refreshed Exhibit area, new monetary awards for Best of Show winners, and live demonstrations and hands-on crafting throughout Fair week!
Open Show registration opens immediately after Youth Show’s closes and runs June 16thto July 1stat midnight. This includes both an online and a mail-in registration option (available at the back of the Open Class Entry Book). Ages: 5-21 (as of January 1, 2024) 5+ (Youth & Adults)
Requirements: 4-H, FFA or Jr. FAS membership Michigan resident
Compete for: Ribbons/trophies Ribbons & cash premiums
Registration: June 1, 2025 – June 15, 2025 Online only June 16, 2025 – July 1, 2025 Online & mail-in
