Vera Veronica Liechti
    Vera Veronica Liechti of Fowlerville, MI, age 100, went to heaven on October 24, 2016. She was born August 16, 1916, in Bono, Ohio. Vera was the daughter of David and Rose (Shinevar) Brower. The lucky man who won her heart was Howard Wilson Liechti of Allegan, Michigan. They married in 1935. Vera and Howard had four children: Howard (Sonny), Roseann, Sharon, and Regina (Jeannie). Sadly Howard, Sonny and Jeannie preceded her in death. 
    Vera was a parishioner of St Agnes Catholic Church in Fowlerville. She was a homemaker for most of her life. In later years she was employed by McPherson Hospital and the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department as a Dietary Supervisor. Vera loved to travel. Wonderful memories were made traveling to Hawaii, California, Texas, Florida, and the Bahamas. 
    Vera is survived by her daughters: Roseann (Jack) Doyle of Hubbardston, Mi and Sharon (Bill) Gray of Kissimmee, Fl. Grandchildren: Dawn Slanker (David Faverman) of East Lansing, Mi, Billy (Ann) Gray of Ypsilanti, Mi and Shannon (Stacey) Doyle of Lansing, Mi. Step grandchildren: Julie Doyle Smith of Suttons Bay, Mi and Joni (Dale) Thompson of Saginaw, Mi. Great- grandchildren: Paris and Ashley Gray. Step great-grandchildren: Lillith and Lyric Rogers. 
    Family meant the world to Vera. She was the first of nine children. Her surviving siblings are a brother Herman Brower of Whitmore Lake, Mi, and sisters Marion Hanifan of San Antonio Tx, Joanne Perkins of Williamston, Mi, Caroline Perkins and Katherine Lucas of Fowlerville, Mi. Her brother Francis Brower and sisters Neva Paye and Rosemary Elliott preceded her in death. Vera was also blessed with many nieces and nephews. 
   Her funeral services were held at St Agnes Catholic Church in Fowlerville on Friday, October 28th. Visitation began at 9:00 a.m. and a Funeral Mass took place at 10:00 a.m. Arrangements by: Herrmann Funeral Home.
